I loved the site M-Audio is clear and in french, (still rare).
I use Cubase and Native B4 is virtually automatic (the Mac!), The B4 is also directly on the Keystation Pro 88 with no problem after updating 1.13 of Native B4 (important) that the site is not in french, unfortunately.
M-Audio website is clear and french him! , (Still rare).
After downloading the two docs in french and the Enigma software 1.1 (essential), which allows you to save any configuration desired, this is a super set.
OVERALL OPINION
I own this keyboard for 2 months, and I find practices, including reversible drawbars for the B4. The very short latency on my config. The setting options in large numbers, the large LCD screen playback, the spit into 4 zones.
In practice I prefer to be in Midi rather than USB (not micro-cuts, separate power supply).
The black keys sink too, but I myself do use. As I sometimes usb notes omitted, but not south. I hope M-Audio will create more free software on Mac like they have on PC, like database ect ...
In the same price range in 88 notes, I tried to Studiologic SL-990xp, and in a range well above my means the Fantom X-8 Roland, it follows a value for money, quality, performance, unbeatable.
If it again .... M-Audio released we can be another good surprise by then. UTILIZATION
So despite what I read here or on the forums, I find the touch trs enjoyable. May - be the black keys are a little low, but frankly with experience in acoustic piano, I was not gn. The touch is just right for me or too heavy (like some keyboard Exceeds by far the hardness of some acoustic piano) or too lightweight, it is a good rpondant and hammer works well.
on the other hand in configuration, c a little hot, but this is understandable given the possibility of the unit standard. As against this, can really blame M-Audio manual supplied with the BTE, which is a manual Min 10ne of a page and more in English. For the entire manual (or so) and in French, go on to download. And still missing index in the internet version (someone he saw the index F and H)

Clearly, the strength of this product is to combine a 88-key too cheap (though some say) with an area of programmable CONTRL for less than 600 euros. 6 months I use it, no problem. pitch bend very useful to me (go find one on a Korg ...) this was actually an element of my choice.
I love his face, it is stable, there's room on the keys and around, believe me it's important (if not made a test with the 88es ... to win in concert with hmmm ... it's good luck) and has a normal weight (he is not obese despite the size).
quality / price ratio good, just between the big heavy keyboards too expensive, small keyboard and too light.
I chose him because he had me touch a keyboard master with a heavy pitch bend for use with my triton rack and my North g2.
So I repeat: if I had 300 euros more I would have taken a more ben bo keyboard (but I would not have had the pitch bend ...) ... and then even after reflection, with 300 euros Moreover, j'me would take one or two effects pedals ...

With regard to the configuration ... not easy at first, I the keyboard for two weeks now, and I use fairly basic for now ... after all, the key is to play, and not to produce a multitude of electronic sounds! Regarding the manual, help! To configure the keyboard, forget the manual that came with it, go directly seek the technical manual on the website of M-Audio ... and even then I think it still lacks clarity.
OVERALL OPINION
I have the keyboard for two weeks. What I like most, undoubtedly, is his touch, very close to my acoustic piano, and the 7.5 octaves.
Being able to drive the pots via the VST is a fairly good too. Other positives: the transposition to + - 3 octaves and semitones of transposition by the keyboard.
Downside: weight ... over 20 kg, a hassle to carry each repeat I have to fold the rear seats of my 306 to go with his suitcase.
Oh, speaking of that, do not forget to buy a semi-rigid or rigid cover ... and preferably with wheels. Before buying this keyboard I looked on models of other brands (Korg, Roland, Yamaha) but the prices were too high in my opinion ... more than 700 euros .. cheap though. In addition, when installing the keyboard with the CD-ROM, a message informs us that the keyboard is supported natively by Windows XP. It is true that XP DTECT a USB device but it is never displayed in Cubase as Controller. I have to go to the website of M-Audio to go Tlcharger pilots ( http://www.m-audio.com/index.php?do=support&tab=driver&PID=aca8d591dad676b163e13ecd2896d084&serie_ID=3#tabs ) and crushes the drivers manually in XP that was working. Positive:

I used mine for about a month and then took it back and go a different one. You mine as well go with one of the M Audio Axiom midi Keyboards. Their are midi keyboards and are not intended to feel like a real piano. M Audio fell short with this board with trying to make it have a real piano feel to it. So if you are looking for a real piano feeling midi keyboard this will leave you unsatisfied, plus the keys are too heavy to use it for your production if you are into hip hop. You wont be able to do those quick sliding melodies and synth lines with this board because the keys are too heavy. Plus the price is a little high for a midi keyboard like this when there are a ton of others on the market that will suite you better.See less00 - multipadPublished on 12/07/09 at 05:34 (This content has been automatically translated from French)...
