USE

SONORITS

Acoustic I use it for the same support if I think this guitar excels particulirement for a play at the fingers when it is not branch. The sound is quite pop, was going well. I would say that the natural frequencies are rather well-tat imbalances but the final string SI / MI are a bit too light in acoustics. I think that the remplaant by another string model the problem will rgl (Elixir 80/20 Bronze advise me that we had).

NOTICE GLOBAL

I chose this guitar mainly to departure for a format issue because I could not play comfortably on my Cort 850 Dreadnought shape. I heard the models APX 500 APX 700 in stores. I hesitated because the 500 has a sound slightly softer but is less powerful and less possde long sustain. The APX 700 has a better projection and I think we should feel amplifies this difference. The colors are gorgeous proposed (black, red cobalt blue nuanced, natural ...). I chose the blue and I must say it is beautiful. With the amp, I rediscovery and she delights! This is I think a good quality / price ratio that addresses a beginner musician or intermediary Desiring to have a quality instrument without breaking the bank.

UTILIZATION

This guitar is very fun to play, it is compact with its shallow box. It is light and is well positioned, it was good against itself and the arm position is natural.
The neck is very thin and easy to handle. The spacing of the strings to the handle is nickel, not frisouilles and no need to force.
The cut makes easy access to acute.
The lifts are good, and the agreement is good over time.

SOUNDS

The sound is very good for blues / rock or pop. Too metal to classical, but there might as well take a nylon string guitar.
The sound is clear and audible notes well, no vibration noise. The resonance is correct, but the body is fine, the sound is not very powerful in pure sound. It should apply to play hard. For one game alone without disturbing the neighbors is perfect for the concert unplugged it is much less.

The small size of this guitar gives easy access to all the stick and some songs while "crossed" that I found difficult on my ovation here are becoming much more affordable.
This guitar has excellent ergonomics.

SOUNDS

I was looking for an electro-folk sound that is usable for jazz but also to play good old country picking: it fills me any points.

In use it has a sound very warm and rich sound not at all metallic. I expected the sound of a guitar actually. In addition this guitar despite its small size is not provided and remains inaudible quite usable unamplified.

The sound is amplified when its really very good.


OVERALL OPINION

I just buy it and I use it for a few hours and then it comes right complement my other electroacoustic CC44.C an Ovation is just like the 2 guitars with a preference for still new to its gameplay.

Before buying, I tried a lag T100DCE-blk, she has not convinced me (it looks attracted me to him but I found her poor, metal frets painful for the fingers as badly finiies, handle not really easy and flawless finish not in the details (nail missing on the easel, small bumps at junctions). The Yam on the other hand APX700 has a flawless finish, a super easy to handle, the sounds come out alone.
What I like least ... uh ... I may be a preferred CPX (11cm maximum thickness instead of 9 cm APX) if the store had had one for a little more volume in acoustics.

I remake that choice without hesitation. A

UTILIZATION

I chose this guitar because it is very comfortable to play!

I usually play electric guitar but I wanted an electro-acoustic one.

I bought a Jumbo (LAG Autumn 300) for its warm sound but I quickly realized that it wasn't that comfortable to play.

I'm quite big and I'm used to playing a Stratocaster, so I feel much more comfortable with a slim acoustic guitar!

I tested several models and I found the Yamaha APX is the best for me.

The action is low, the strings are neither too soft nor too hard, the slim neck reminds me of my Strat... It's great!

SOUNDS

The acoustic tone matches all my expectations: it's not a big sound but a well-balanced sound to play chords at home without disturbing my neighbors!

The amplified sound is simply amazing!

For electric guitarists who aren't looking for the Paco De Lucia sound, this guitar is perfect.

Oasis, Chapman, Floyd, etc. Perfect!

With a modeling amp like a VOX DA, everything sounds well, warm and full.

OVERALL OPINION

If you have a weakness for that warm, big and powerful MARTIN sound, choose a Yamaha APX!

The APX 500 is for small budgets, the 700 is for people who just sold a couple of guitars, and the 900 for people who want the same guitar as AYO or Tryo (Gizmo).

It's a guitar you'll take with you everywhere. It's perfect to practice or to accompany a singer.

Very good value for money.
