    Taylor 410ce

    Taylor 410cePublished on 12/26/03 at 15:00
I purchased the guitar in Indianapolis, IN, in late December 2001; a choice I have not regretted. I paid around $1500, as I recall. The main reasons I use an acoustic guitar is for songwriting, playing in the praise & worship band at my church, and for coffeehouse performances.

This guitar has excellent playability and better than average electronics. Great sound acoustically, as a solo instrument as well as accompaniment for vocal and ensemble presentations. It is especially good when you consider the cost. In my opinion, this guitar compares favorably with much more expensive instruments.

No dislikes; I'm very happy with my purchase.

Extremely well designed and built. I love the Ovankol sides and back; and the neck contruction is superior. This is a truly well-made guitar.

This is the bottom-line: I would not hesitate to recommend the Taylor 410ce to any musician as an all-around excellent working instrument for recording and stage performances. I love my Taylor and would not part with it (except, perhaps, for another Taylor).

Acquired at Phils Music in Greenville SC.

This is a 1999 . Wonderful sound, even with the plain fishman. It just gets better and better with age. Many people have said my guitar sounds better plugged in then many other expensive guitars. I love it, you can go wrong with a Taylor.

    Nothing.

Solid Ovankol back and sides. Solid Spruce Top. Grover tuners.

    This is a wonderful instrument!!

I bought this guitar new at a music store in Henderson, KY (Abba's Music). I had been looking at Taylors for about a year, playing different models to see which I wanted to purchase at the right price.

Because it is a seasonal limited edition guitar the back and side are Indian Rosewood and the top is Sitka Spruce. It also includes Taylor's new expression system electronics, which sound great when plugging in. This is not included in the regular 410. So buying the limited is the way to go, and it doesn't cost any more! The guitar plays great, which Taylor is known for, and the tone is nice as well. So buying the limited is the way to go, and it doesn't cost any more! The guitar plays great, which Taylor is known for, and the tone is nice as well. The 410 is a dreadnought so it's great for strumming, and has a full sound even when banging hard. I do a bit of finger picking so it does work well for that too.

The only thing lacking is the volume of the guitar. If you are a purist and all you do is finger pick go for a different model of Talyor, but I knew this before purchasing.

Superb quality and craftsmanship. The guitar has a beautiful gloss finish. I haven't had it long enough to say how it would hold up on the road, but supposedly Taylors can take some abuse from what I've heard.

I love this guitar and will keep it for the rest of my life. It's a great value for what you pay. I just wish I had more time to play it!

I got this guitar from my parents for Christmas. The got it from a small store outside of St. Louis. for about 1500. It is the limited edition series made from hawiian koa.

I love every thing about this guitar its tone is rich and blends perfect with whatever I'm playing at the time. it features the new neck design that taylor has created which prevents the bend at the 12 fret over years of use. wonderful guitar i love it.

no dislikes, exept how hard it is to put down.

perfect construction I have found any flaws and the electronics on it are wonderful.

great guitar well worth the price and then some.

Treble, when agreements that open their CASC, who cares a little, but given the pan once it's going well.

Dreadnought shape, well equilibrated even if I will have more raw lgre.

Yes, the sound is trs pur.C is super clear, less boomy bass than Martin, less than mdium grimey Gibson.Je not know the exact spectrum, but he looks more quilbr and extensive than any other I've tried.

Trs amricaine pop, Goo goo dolls all this, even if the sound dpend especially the fawn playing.

    SOUNDS

That's exactly what I wanted. Electroacoustic guitar has good sound unplug and remains live even qquand Submitted cymbals hide all ...;)

Direct from the table, it is less cumbersome.

Crystal clear sound, the faster it rglages vu.Bass trebble and voila, but it is more appropriate to a Galise the table, at least we see what we do.

The sound I like least are recording via the microphone (but should not try to say I really use them in the studio). To live is gnial, but nothing is true with micro studio.

    OVERALL OPINION

    Over the past year.

It sounds great and has the class. This is a guitar that can keep a long time, but also sell without worry.

I read an opinion or two guys who had the test with their friend luthier. Guitar Hollywood they say.
Mine (a luthier, who then n'tait pasencore my friend), I took him on as I reu for it verifies that all silent ok (for a guitar OCCAZ ). He has played 45 minutes, refused to charge me, and said thank you. This silent pat.

Otherwise essay Martin, Gibson, Takamine and some Guild.
Besides Martin acoustic was nothing better, except that branch of the Taylor silent much better. Takamine grle too and you can feel the cot too electro for my taste. Guild (large models which I do not remember the REFERENCE) sounded really good too, but softer and less clair.Et Gibson, trs good acoustics, but worse than Martin when branch.

Bought 900 euros on ebay for US OCCAZ, I tried the new models in stores, but hey, instead of 900 euros by 1600 Well worth taking the risk of the lower order.

In short, it is a modern guitar, trs prcise, which is perfect for game accord.Il should not expect a vintage sound and dirty because it's not the kind of home.
Elixir strings are fine, but only when they are old and dirty .. Two weeks is too synthetic 1ST.

The best guitar I've played, but also because it has suited my style: open chords mdiator and voila ..

Guitar-shaped dreadnought cutaway made in United States, 20 frets and any mass.

    Top: spruce gloss
    Case: satin ovangkol
    Neck: mahogany satin
    Fingerboard and bridge: ebony

Expression System equipped preamp and three magnetic sensors powered by a 9V battery in the box (a rare version, it seems, and for good reason: you have to loosen the strings to change the battery and it believe me it is really heavy !)

The rest of the specs, it's classic chrome tuners oil bath, ankle ebony, white plastic netting ... Sober, impeccably finished but for the price one would expect a bit of pearl, or nets table in maple ...

The rest of the specs, it's classic chrome tuners oil bath, ankle ebony, white plastic netting ... Sober, impeccably finished but for the price one would expect a bit of pearl, or nets table in maple ...

    UTILIZATION

The handle is divine. The best that I've had the opportunity to put my hands. Everything seems simple on a handle like this. And satin: my god what a pleasure! I became a fan of satin sleeves. So much so that I can search more than that for my future purchases!
Uh, yes, there will be future purchases but we'll talk later ...

The guitar is well balanced, access is easy thanks to the sharp cutaway.
The jack is not of good quality on my model: it broke down once and after the store's customer service, "such things happen, the jacks are sometimes of poor quality, It can last 10 years or 10 months ... "

Yes but then voila, a guitar has more than € 1,800 it seems to me unacceptable.

The Expression System is supposed to be the amplification system for acoustic guitars. "You plug and play" as they say over there ... At first glance this seems great, but we'll talk about that too ...

Without the jack I put 10/10 as the beautiful is easy to use but do not count on is a tricky point when you want to use it on stage.

    SOUNDS

This guitar will suit many styles as it has a nice balance. Mediums are still a little behind. If it is shaped to the rhythm it will satisfy you in many other fields thanks to its well-rounded bass and clear highs without being shrill.
The association spruce / ovangkol wonders. The latter, whose identity is very strong, has tonal qualities straddling mahogany which he seems to have the roundness and rosewood for defining sounds ... A real tonewood!
The sound opens up more and more ... it becomes increasingly warm!

The electro sound now. At first we bought this guitar ears full of defects piezo sensors. It values its very low natural and being able to attack the strings hard or very low without the sensor distorts the attack. The sound in the treble does not have this side does not attack metal and ears when you say "Wow, finally a guitar that sounds with acoustic and electronic sound realistic!"

    Except ...

Except that reports the guitar at home. And there away from the noise of cars and people from the store, away from the comments of the seller and the noise of the radius battery, you plug the guitar and there: oops!

It blows. My gods so that blows that one comes to wonder if it would not fan more than that!
And then the strings Si and high E: it looks like plastic! The magnetic sensors caricature the sound of these strings and it loses all expression! Hope for not even move an audience with a solo on this guitar plugged in!

So we invest (again) ... and with a Noise Gate and a parametric equalizer you come to reworking the sound ... like when adjusted to that of a piezo pickup ... (sic)
Meanwhile the guitar "Plug'n Play" was needed an extra suitcase to carry his equipment ... It has been well spent for it, well spent to use it: in the end the guitar costs not but not € 1800 € 2100 ...
And the battery needs to be changed by loosening the strings all 20-25 hours of gameplay ..

Then sound is excellent. In electronics, it sounds good on all four strings. Too bad I liked the last two! I will not hide my disappointment and I go back a good old EAN10C, with its solid jack, his old piezo sound that leaves the 6 strings, the amp does not blow economy and its built-in tuner for € 888 Thomann!

    OVERALL OPINION

I made the acquisition of this beautiful guitar a year ago now. The only question I have is to know what acoustic guitar back to complete the Takamine future?

Unless I keep it to use sound ... Given the market price of the equivalent OCCAZ it seems ...

I tried many models and I realize how difficult it is to make a good test in the store. Ask if you can try to calm ... Try multi-amp ...

The value for money is not good. the instrument is unreliable and does nothing. I agree with many on this Afiens Expression System: it is a publicity stunt for Bob Taylor to attract customers disappointed with the piezo!

Unless a good fishman natural, or LR Baggs ribbon transducer is a much better ally for an acoustic guitar at this level ...
With experience, I also reports how a preamp vériatble "on board" I miss ... That's why I simply add this guitar sensor (also, the association piezo + ES might be a good solution to improve some points ... unfortunately not all ...)

Escape the electro-acoustic Taylor equipped with this mail!

Guitar I find it quite lightly.

    SOUNDS

I can not find the exact sound I was looking for, I think it's too entrenched in the upper register, he lost my taste for fishing on the bass and midrange longer present. However it is fitted with Elixir strings I do not like these strings I prefer SP Martin acoustic from home.

Connected, the sound is fairly accurate and the three lower treble and volume knobs do their job.

    OVERALL OPINION

I own this guitar for almost a year and a half and I do not play ever.
My error should probably be because I took advice from someone before selecting this instrument (I wanted to go about buying a Martin at first, but I was rather advised Taylor).

Then I went to shop I took it, played just 10 minutes, then I looked if there were no worries and I'm left with. I have not taken the time to try other brands (Martin, Seagull ...)

For the price I expected better level "top quality"

I do not do it again this election, besides, I sell it to pass from Martin
