Before trying the focal I heard the Genelec 1031, 1030, 8040, the Mackie HR824, Yamaha NS10 and, MSP5 and Dynaudio BM6 of.
To my taste, in this price (800 euro piece) is what is more natural and more pleasant listening in proximity. It's expensive, but if you look at the report qualitprix this range, there is no photo, I find them far ahead of the Genelec and Mackie.
I would do that choice without a moment's hesitation. The purchase of any fawn was really a favorite of the cost.
