The Mackie CR3 and CR4 are 3” and 4” powered monitors respectively. They provide 50W of power and include a 0.75” ferrofluid-cooled silk dome compression driver with a waveguide. The monitors are sold in pairs and the controls are installed on one monitor.
The CR Series monitors are designed with simplicity of use in mind : you’ll find on the front of the enclosure a volume control with a backlit ring, a 1/8” auxiliary input and a 1/8” headphone output which defeats the speakers and is controlled with the same volume knob.
Plus, a switch allows for locating the monitors the way you want, wether you like having the volume knob at your right or left hand.
On the back, you’ll find rounded vent ports, the on/off switch as well as 1/4” jack and RCA stereo inputs. Connection between the monitors is made on terminal blocks.
The CR Series will be available early August for US street prices of $129.99 for the CR3 and $199.99 for the CR4. They will ship with acoustic isolation pads, 1/8” to RCA and 1/8” to 1/8” cables. Discover this new series at cr.mackie.com.
