We will not lie, I have no confidence in the brand "Low cost" that offer the best monitors in the world for 2 euros ... And I hate to invest in sub-brands! Prodipe So for me, at the outset, this is direct trash. It was all a priori, I take mine!
But I have enough to mix on my Mackie MR5 mk2 with the 5-inch woofer knows that restoring the "boom boom" and tweeter "tsk tsk" ... Listening to "client" or to compose, it will ... But for mixing, clearly forgetting! I was looking for instructors consistent, accurate, faithful, neutral, and all this without spending the GDP of Burundi. Being very satisfied with my 16-channel digital mixer from Presonus, I thought await the arrival of Eris 5 ... Fond memories of coaxial Tannoy monitors on which I worked in a large farmhouse studio, made me ogle to TDC 5.

SOUNDS

What strikes at first listening to TDC5 is the great sound overall consistency: clarity stamps and accuracy of the signal delivered literally jump ears. The coaxial technology is really a wise choice for "nearfield" listening ...

I rediscovered the incredible taf com Sebastien Tellier on his latest album. Small infinity Hifi with exceptional EMIT ribbon tweeters, the NS10M accurate and effective for the time, Yamaha HS80 a "hard" and nothing tiring in treble, Tannoy PBM 6.5 mk2 fairly balanced, Mackie all whack the medium, fiendishly accurate CMS40, but a little "boxy" and too serious amputated for my use ...

Conclusion: I will not talk about the power button behind and other details that I think are not of interest. Only the sound of a pregnant interests me. and I come under this notice is only my opinion: there is that fools never change their minds.

Last year, I would have laughed at the idea of ​​buying the Prodipe that I was putting in the "Tapco / Alesis / Samson / Berhinger" the cheap stuff to start, but it sells them to speed sound as soon as we begin to know what you are doing with his fingers and his esgourdes ...

Well I was wrong: these monitors are real tools, you délivent a stereo image while to actually consistent with an accurate and detailed front soundstage. These boxes render you a "real" sound. It is not embellished or flattered, or rotten as on some "shitbox" way Auratone cubes are used in the pros, saying "if it goes on it it goes everywhere" (which according to my modest experience is not true every time!).

I now know that against all odds, I will keep these Prodipe which, if they are as reliable as they are accurate, are loyal companions for many years, for less than half the price of my CMS40 .. . Certainly the quality of manufacture, although all at absolutely correct, is not the same level as at Focal, but you must know what you want to listen to her: admire or listen ...

A very real, very good surprise then! If TDC6 and 8 are also amazing, the competition has to worry about ...
