The HD1501 and HD1801 subs are said to "offer many of the same benefits as the full-range models, including Class-D Fast-Recovery amplifier technology, delivering up to 1600W of peak power, as well as efficient, cool running, switch-mode power supplies."
With custom transducer design and system tuning by EAW, HD subs are designed to provide “unparalleled low-end extension, ” according to Mackie.

The HD1501 and HD1801 have 15-inch and 18-inch high-output woofers respectively, as well as Mackie’s Active processing. The HD1801 18-inch subwoofer is ideal for use with either the HD1521 or HD1531, according to the company and the HD1501 15-inch sub is perfect for systems using SRM450v2 Active Loudspeakers (or SRM350v2s), they say.

Pricing & Availability
HD Series Powered Subwoofers will ship worldwide in late 2009. The HD1501 will have a U.S. MSRP of $1,099.99 (€1099 inc. tax, £949 inc. vat). The HD1801 will have a U.S. MSRP of $1,399.99 (€1399 inc. tax, £1199 inc. vat).
