for more: I would say its the number of the 10 (I manages the returns from facade) as on the analog button function, and the Witness: the weight and the requirement to have a rack of effects and filters

€ 800 for my case I'm not complaining, on the other hand it took me to put the dirty but because it was cracking a big breath but some components after cleaning it is like new (still the advantage of the analog)

This console is the high end of the SERIES of Allen & Heath GL.

It is found between 24 and 48 slices, of which there are four slices forcment Stereo (which can also operate in single units but with a limited EQ.

To 10, 8 groups, master LR outputs and Mono XLR (with insert symtrique on each output, so with a TRS "send" and another "return"), four matrices of the groups receiving the signals and bus masters .

On every single one enters XLR or TRS, there is a gain and a pad, phase reverse, a low-cut in paramtrable frquence up 400Hz, a 4-band EQ nice (the Hi and Lo are the frequencies and gain shelf Settings, and the LoMid HiMid are peak frequencies and gay paramtrables each with more of a switch or switching between broadband Troit), a direct output, and the 10 to the fader.

Group 8-Mutes, plus MIDI automation Patches-Mutes.
At the master section, groups are available on faders with long red, blue faders on the smaller.

No effect section, power rack spare.

I put 10 for the same price it's still super good quip.

UTILIZATION

The GL4000 Representative for me the top of ergonomics. It is a rgy return? It pushes a few switches, and faders groups and become the masters of LR to 1 10, and mono fader feeds the PFL post-insert ...

Everything is accessible trs, programming patch-mute and mute-group is child's play to that given the time to read the excellent (as always with A & M) manual.

SOUNDS

The console does not breath at all, and transparency is at the appointment. The EQ is excellent, and can really sculpt the sound as we want to hear it. Also excellent feedback to hunt in the slices.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it in a rental company in faade on large benefits, but also back when the place does not leave room for our Ramsa. I like the ergonomics, not making head ct. Excellent quality price.
