3 octaves with my expansion card. I rarely fail to voice polyphony with the red beast.

UTILIZATION

The book is generally clear, I could even push my learning of this wonderful area with it. For what is the publisher could not be more clear: a great page where you can see all modules, connections and settings of the patches. Please note, this machine is not for beginners. I strongly recommend to learn about the synthesis before the plunge.

SOUNDS

The possibilities are almost endless. Before he learned well this monster, I contented myself with my Virus C for big fat tear sounds but with time, experience and learning, I discovered that the G2 can sound just as well as Access (eg not as realistic as the real analog, but hey, that's another story). I make Drum n Bass, Metal, Elektro and Dubstep in and ensures everything I asked.

OVERALL OPINION

The love affair lasted for 2 years now. So far this is the best synth I had. Should he miss the call, I'd get one again. I had the chance to play around with the Virus C, Nova II, the JX-3p and the Juno 2. They all have their pros and cons but the G2 is the king of the mountain.

Cake: Versatile and open concept, sound quality.

Lemon: Factor "instant gratification" (AC can be super long and puzzle both to recreate the desired sound but hey, I'm a novice)

A bit expensive but it's still one of the best quality / price I could find
