I bought it for different reasons:
- Firstly, its ease of implementation, installation, transportation.
- Secondly dissemination and clarity of sound is amazing. We really feel like in the middle of his.
I tested in different configurations: directly by plugging an SM58 vocal mic and various guitars, a mixer, ipod. It is clear that the voice and electroacoustic guitar blend perfectly with the system. The sound of the voice is very clear and the guitar sound very dynamic, preamps are very good.
The system seems to be sized for one or two musicians but I tested it with three voices and three guitars through a mixer. The record is perfect and no problems with feedback. on the other hand I was less convinced by the connection of an electric guitar through my multi-effects, I found that here lacked bass.
Now I'd like to test two Bose L1 Compact connected to a table and see what we can get stereo rendering.

Used for 9 months, repeated local, bars.
I put in vocals, guitar (Mesa preamp) and synthetic (bravo for Input 2, which accepts three signals simultaneously).

I used to two 502 systems, low and satellites.
I was looking for the "all in one hand." Already there, it's happiness mounting within a minute here and is in a safe scooter!
It sounds a little more "hifi" than the normal L1, but on vocals and acoustic guitar is ... Fusion!

Well, of course, here is the absence of any Bose system: the four digits on the bottom right of the bill ....

We are a trio of acoustic guitar, electric guitar and bass. We have just acquired a compact l1 coupled ToneMatch. After the first rehearsal we stayed glued by the sound quality and ease of use. We connected the microphone voice (beta 58) l1et directly on the three instruments are passed through the ToneMatch (acoustic guitar and bass directly into the table and electric guitar in the table through a tube amp). The ability to add reverb, compressor and easy to resolve Eq allowed us to have a sound never reached (habitual use by repeating table + 2 + evp12p tube preamp picoverb +) in 10 minutes. Most surprising is the actual hearing of all the instruments in the mix and the clarity and depth of the bass (the passages are beautiful bow and vibrato really agree). The microphone plugged directly into the L1 sounds of hell, there needs no adjustment. The diffusion of the sound is great and obviously the reserve power needed to irrigate about 100-150 people I think.
It is unusual to have a compact ToneMatch for l1, most people using this engine usually having the largest models. Well I think it's a pity because the record is great. We plan as soon as finances permit to add a l1 compact in order to play on the stereo. Ultimately we got the compact l1 + ToneMatch the new (I said) for ... Attention 1100 euros! The value for money is simply monstrous. If we add a compact l1 we arrive at a cost of 2000 € for a high performance stereo system, which is again very correct. So here, I think if some people think buying a l1, we must think rather from a double-CD than on a simple model 1 or 2.

It's a start I believe that file, because my guitar just to make the acquisition.

Tested for 2 hours in rehearsal with a general mix above, where there was live guitar, bass, drums (not with sound), two keyboards and vocals.

The sound is simply bleuffant to a small column of this size!! In unpacking the product (which takes 1 minute), we really wonder how such small HP will be able to cope with the beginning of rehearsal on Mackies SRM 450?

Installation and connection with the table: about 1 minute 30! 12 small to raise pounds (as well say nothing.)

The sound is clean, fine, well distributed and still powerful enough for the size. The column should not be embarrassed face Mackies SRM 450 (as part of a rehearsal I mean !!!). It was even nicer on the Bose, because the sound was less aggressive and we got along better.

It required a small correction equalization to bring out a little more bass, but the sound of a Warwick 5 string bass player was very very correct!

Pending better test it (on stage), the first approach is very promising and encouraging.

The guitarist will use it back on stage this weekend, we'll also use it during an acoustic (guitar, vocals and some sequences) in a restaurant and eventually definitely buy another for us of front (and back) for our trio of variety (dance).

I'll post a more complete review after all this.
