I wanted to try the ability to record my guitar on Iphone during the holidays just to make a quick notepad so I was looking for a lightweight interface. This one although basic also helps put a condenser microphone and Tascam priori that inspires confidence for the registration.
The instructions are succinct but it's not really useful.
The housing is very cheap. We will see life.
Forum noted that it does not work with the iPad 2 and 5 IOS. For me it worked.
It is better to play with headphones.
Latency level, there are a small but not too annoying. The sound lacks momentum but it is unclear whether it comes from apps or interface (see both).
Installation is quick. The cable connecting the iphone is very short but hey it is not necessarily annoying. What is more annoying is that it is integrated into the interface and its quality seems quite low. The day there will be a loose connection is fucking ...
I used it a few hours with Garage Band and Amplitube Fender (Iphone Version of course).
Well the result is rather disappointing. Connecting a guitar generates a buzz quite unbearable you tired ears. This is particularly acute on garage band or with distortion is almost unusable. The noise gate improves things a bit but it's not really that.
Amp with tube seem to fare better. So I'm not sure if this is the iPad, the application, or interface that is in question. In short it's all rather disappointing. Even just for Laying out I'm not convinced. I'm curious if others pass?
