Line 6 Bass POD Pro

C is a preamp modeling, simulations combining various popular amps and effects.
C is fully digital, the pod pro is mainly on the use of ax studio (live) on a table or pc.
there are 16 effects (chorus, flanger, phser, overdrive, synth bass ...) and a wahwah well as a volume pedal on the pedal optional.
rack-mount model, two units.

UTILIZATION

Configuration simple enough, but most effective, sound and without any effort, without having to spend hours in a manual.
The edition is very simple, but you have to set its egualisations.

SOUND QUALITY

The effects are simple and effective.
the quality of modeling is bluffing (very realistic and very hot).
J have used the bass pod pro with a fender american deluxe precision5 and it sounds !!!!!!!!!!!!!

OVERALL OPINION

J loves this pod, it allows to get the sound of tens of very different amp.
what I like least, what are the effects of which I need not have n (bass synth, mu ... tron)
I play on a kit ampeg depis three years, and the pod sy is very good.
the price quality ratio is simply unfair.
c year is no doubt one of the best things that ever happened in world of amplifier!

Everything is numrique.

It is a 2U rackmount MODEL.

UTILIZATION

Gnrale configuration is very simple: you can just plug in the APRS dballage of the gear and sound will come out just by turning the knobs in faade. But this n'enlve not thorough study of the device and its rglages to find an original sound and convincing.
The edition of the sounds, the paramtrage amps or effects is quite simple, manual in hand. We just have to know what knob to turn to see what he does, and especially listen to what gives.
The manual is provided in English. It is available on the line6 in French and it is clear comprhensible trs.

SOUND QUALITY

First, the effects (on rotocontacteurs) are not chainable. One a time, and preset amp. Ralistes effects are, at least priori because I could never REALLY test the original versions. That is correct. Personally I have not bought this machine for the quality but for the effects of modlisations amps, and effects to introduce me, and there's plenty to do!
Then the amp modlisations ralistes are generally, but to be clear: it is not possible to have the sound of the amp which is multi but something approaching it much . There is no Mystra: This mule prampli amplifiers which are each 2 3 times more expensive!
The amps I have prfre simulation EDEN, AMPEG. The MESA is quite practitioner. I prfre effects are the compressor, distortion and fuzz, but also the volume and wah wah available on all presets (with pdalier adquate!) Not because these mod Lisati are ralistes (they stick the Ralite but they are not true) but because the sound j'apprcie obtained.
Finally, it is true that whatever you plug into this machine has almost sounds like (even on a preset): This POD does not transcribed Fidler timbre of an instrument, but still allows m I have some good sound musicos racks with more complete and complex can not have.

OVERALL OPINION

I have used for a year. Sold in June 2004 for a BASS POD XT PRO.
The particular feature I like most: AMPEG sound simultaneously, the wah wah (MIDI controlled by a FCB1010) that dclenche ds that I activate the expression pedals. I'm not a fan of this device but AMPEG rconcili me with it in when you plug an instrument into an AMPEG, sounded quite a lot better!
What I like least: the plthore formulations of amp and effects which I do not use because the resulting sound is bad my taste.
Essay I had nothing like this before.
The ratio quality price is right insofar as we see things the Manir following: what to say is that you can not have the sound of a MODEL amplifier is described in the instructions, but you can get sounds that we like.
APRs have tried the POD XT PRO (sold as there are few) I think this is POD PRO suprieur in terms of simplicity of rglages, Accessibility assistive technology software for sound and quality (see opinion on the XT PRO): some simulations sound better (I can not explain it). In short this machine suited me better, but it may be because I prfre spend more time playing than trying to sound out drinking a rack ...
I purchased a guitar line6 dmonstrateur that it never used silent. I sold it and I regret having changed to a POD XT PRO for the reasons mentioned above. Now that I know what I want in terms of pramp and effects, I do not know if I would do this purchase, but I do not regret it because with this gear I refined my needs and my sound .

UTILIZATION

I use the POD in prampli with the following configuration:
DDouble signal from the jack "model" for sending a graphic qualiseur 2x10 bands
the two outputs of the qualiseur are directed to a power amp PEAVEY Stereo 260W (with two potentiomtres volume limiter and a compressor dbrayable)
A channel is sent to a speaker 1x15p 300W and the other one 4x10p 300W.
I rgl the qualisation each speaker based on the most suitable frquences (Low and Low mdiums in 15p and high in the acute and mdiums 4x10p). I can then balance the level of one and one for the volume-General for output. In concert, the XLR output "model" is sent to the console.

The POD is "pilotquot; a pdalier to select the sound MMore in the bank (of the 36 available), it includes a whawha pedals that can also" dose "effect and select a volume pedals. pdalier The function also includes the tuner, which can be read on it or on the rack by means of leds: very practical in the dark!

SOUND QUALITY

A modlisation will never be worth the original, but who can afford such a variety of amps, speaker and effects?
I use the Bass Pod Pro with 3 bass, Fender Jazz Bass Fretless 1973 Fender Roscoe Beck V Vigier Passion III custom 5c.
The modlisation, moyennnant qualisation few corrections and compression, I never seem to "caricature" (unlike other modlisation rack) and I always managed to find the sound Sirai!

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 3 years now. When I want to play without me to the head, I select the 16 original configutaions mmorises one of them. My preferences are the ampeng 1974 SVT, SWR SM-400, Mesa-Boogie 400 +, David Eden Traveller WT-300, Gallien Krueger 800RB and Sunn Coliseum.
I also have some effects prciser carrment me inspiration for compositions (Listen to "OMNI-Fanatics and policies" on YouTube).
Finally I know of no such offer hardware portability to make a recording, in short you can record any bass with a good rsultat trs without dbauche of hardware.
If I absolutely have to find a reproach to the hardware, I would say the NCESS to have the record by hand (in the early days) because of the number of possibilities that a ncessiteraient large device, the number of pots incalculable and whose price would affect! So now you can get used to the price of a good DI box, I read somewhere that this user prfraient his successor MODEL XT.
