15W transistor amp.
Very easy to use.
The gain and master volume are independent, it must be useful to some but not to me. Ditto for the HP output. However the headphone jack is very convenient.
The finish is good and the construction looks solid.

UTILIZATION

This is my first amp. I chose it after trying other models of other brands (including a fender, a yamaha, and an exotic brand). It is this small ashdown that seemed most convincing.
It is easy to use, power is perfect for repeat alone in his room. With a guitarist bassist buddy buddy OR it goes, but beyond that it's hard to be heard.

SOUNDS

The sound is rather round while remaining accurate. It remains quite versatile and goes everywhere. Side of the coin, we can criticize his lack of character, but it is the price of versatility.
With a distortion pedal (Boss DS1) between the amp and bass, you can access a lot more rock sound without being too rough.
If you disable the "deep" button, the bass is very present: the sound is flat blow, but neighbors thank you!

OVERALL OPINION

Used for a year, I sold the air to move to a more powerful model wholesale / for a little scene.
I do not regret this purchase, I had not found anything better for that price at the time. Q / P ratio seems very good to me.

UTILIZATION

Simple, turn a few knobs and playing.
I can not understand why there are two volume control on this type of amp: Input Gain and Output Level, this may be useful when connecting an external HP ... The advantage is that you can adjust the volume with great precision, the disadvantage is that you turn the two knobs if you want to sound all the way (I'm lazy).
The equalizer is accurate with good range of flexibility which allows to easily obtain the sound you seek.
Deep button is very useful in my opinion. It reinforces the bass for a more rounded.
I too looked at the manual, but given the simplicity of the amp is not really necessary ...
A strong point of this amp is its build quality: the knobs are metal, it has absolutely no play and has good resistance when they are running, the jacks seem very solid, the panel control is metal, the amp weighs rather heavy for its size ... It's solid!
I think it's pretty carpet with a coating on the outside, a black grille to the HP.

SOUNDS

I play very occasionally, not Rock and Reggae. This amp is very versatile and allows me to get almost any sound, it serves very well my bass, a Yamaha BB-active G4AII. The sound is clear, slams if you push a little treble. Deep button provides a well rounded but not too bold.
Sound, very accurate, may seem a bit cold for sure.
I also use it with my electric guitar: push the mids and treble to the bottom and lowering the bass, I have a great sound with treble slamming, and deep bass, a treat, perfect for playing Little Wing. With my electro-acoustic classical guitar, the sound is interesting too, with good momentum.
The sound power is quite limited, however, which does not bother me since I only play in my bedroom, but the speaker output is here! Do not hope to make the Stade de France but with ...

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 2 years I think.
I love this amp, I play with my bass, my guitar, my electro-acoustic, it has a versatility that I greatly appreciate.
The sound is very clear, perhaps too much, but now I try to find fault that he did not! The sound power is his only weakness, but when looking for a 15 watt amp is not for the concert. It limits it to a power amp work, what is its mission to see the CD input.
I tried a Fender Rumble 25 ('s too fat, too vague, too heavy, good amp though, with beautiful light inside) and a peavey microbes (I find worse, and ugly and more) I do not regret my purchase at all. A very good amp, excellent quality, very good sound. I paid € 165, it costs less now that I think is a very good price / quality ratio. I would do the same choice again.
I put 10/10 because for me it's perfect, I could not find better I think. I like its sound, its look carpet, the exceptional build quality (let's not mince words!). Try it and if you take a look amp quality work.

It is right hair in the characteristics I was looking for an amp "practice" in a small apartment full of music gear. Only in this context homebody that I use or perhaps for a small beef with acoustic guitar.

I almost regret the absence of effects loop but saw good use is still not the most useful function in the world.

UTILIZATION

Nothing simpler.
The EQ settings are not bad. The bass boost button very effective.

SOUNDS

As said in other reviews, the big plus is its accuracy. I have a Variax bass and the different models as different tone controls are really well reproduced by the amp. Involved in the fingers, pick or slap, we quickly found its brands (but a preamp a bit more upscale like BSE or Sansamp is a big plus).
I also tried the Epiphone EB-0 and that of my girlfriend preseque adds clarity to the bass who can play that round.
The bass response is frankly amazing given the size of HP.

The big "minus" is actually the breath when pushed a bit.

OVERALL OPINION

I tried another small amp "practice" at the same price in Warwick with her a little warmer but I preferred the accuracy of Ashdown.

Used with a Bass POD XT (with the amp models Bypass) to the effects and / or as an EBS pedal preamp / overdrive, it's really what I was looking for home (after ruining my monitor speakers in playing directly from the POD XT). It allows me to work though my settings before playing a real good amp big studio repeated.

I put 9 in the breath that can become unbearable in maximum power. But less than 140 euros is more than a case.

And yes it is beautiful with its logo of 50's jukebox and carpeted cube design.

UTILIZATION

Configuration is very simple!
Yes we get easily a good sound with the button and deep, for my part, removing bcp lowering the treble and mids a bit.

SOUNDS

It is perfect for who wants an amp not too expensive, good quality sound and playing too hard. (Small committee, apartment etc.).
I play for now on a low rotten, the sound is excellent.
Sounds more crystalline treble amount, more and more dull round the lowering, perhaps by pressing the 'deep'.

I love the bass. Normal to play the bass ...

SOUNDS

As I said above, for sound, it gets complicated ... I bought it based on written opinions on this amp and I am totally disappointed!
This amp has no punch and serious non-existent ... In addition, a terrible blow at the half power and I do not mean you as soon as we pushed a little!
Of course, it remains a working amp, but its work by having a rotten, it does not encourage!

I put one because I find almost no sound.

OVERALL OPINION

I just bought it to replace the PEAVEY Microbass (I had a problem with HP), and he left as fast in the store (thank you to the withdrawal period of 7 days)!
What I like about this amp, the logo Ashdown, and only the logo ...
What I like least, I'll be mean but I really do nothing except the logo!
While it is not very expensive, but it is not worth its price!

UTILIZATION

Config simple, almost no manual but not necessary on this type of amp.
I had a little trouble finding my sound level and equalization of the volume or bass and entry.

SOUNDS

The big problem with this amp for me is this really blows, even at low volume. In fact I was surprised to have to push the amp to half of its travel volume in order to have some of its sending.
I play an Ibanez Jet King bass with passive pickups covers. it is rather low seventies oriented in terms of sound, the amp and there disappointed me royally. It lacks warmth, fullness in the mids and I put the bass at 8 or 9 to finally enjoy my E string appropriately. halluciant was a breath of this amp, and that's really disturbing to be used "bedroom"
Deep button seems to me almost imperceptible, barely a little more in the low and go ok a little more roundness in the overall sound.

OVERALL OPINION

I used it for a week and I have since returned. breath for me was unacceptable. I will replace it with an orange CR20B I expect (I'm a fan of this brand).
I tried a Peavey MAX 158, though cheaper than the Ashdown and well I can tell you that there are no pictures, the peavey is much more present in the lower, more responsive in play slap on the mids and acute.
I consider the rather poor value for money compared to what other models offer cheaper, lighter and with less breath.
So you understand, despite the good reviews everywhere and looks really nice, I do not recommend this amp, even for use as mine is to say in casual amateur bassist.

UTILIZATION

very simple, we can not get any easier than elsewhere. Are easily obtained "the" sound, because there is not a thousand different (less than fun to put a bass and treble has zero background). The button "deep" is mandatory, without it, it sounds quite flat and it's ugly. The external output is a little nicer, I had the opportunity to plug my little 4x12 Ashdown in London City (ancient cab, if any) and the sound is hell, and, Oh Miraculously, it even enough (cranked) by repeating!

Rock sound, perfect. But a mat if you are not looking too. A bit of breath if you push the volume. Much if you go back (but 15w thoroughly in his living room and neighbors already ask for an apology, then ...). Tried with an Epiphone Thunderbird Pro, the Fenders (precision, jb, ...), Cort ... and all my pedals, nothing to report. Y grain Ashdown (at least I like to believe).

OVERALL OPINION

If we ignore the lack of breath was present workload, until "high" (a very strong, are indeed as has been said, the breath, but "everything thoroughly," useless, so ) is a very good little amp, available at less than 100 € on VPC classic. I saw a 85 € on an English site, eop free (it was the holidays ...). At that price, look no further.
