This is a crossover 2 x 3-way with a few functions complmentaires. It possde analog and numriques. I use it in combination with and attacked by a DEQ2496. The XLR connector is as shown in the photo, it is rack mountable.

Pretty easy to use it took me a Journe for discovering the set with the DEQ2496 (see this) and find rglages that suited me. The menus are fairly intuitive, but the rglages many people come here quickly and trs trs easily (without read the manual) After a few days.

The sound seems trs good, Reserved (amlioration possible) tweeters concern of B & W 802S1 (1980) he attacks. Trs well as the possibility to mute the power (in case of power brve example!, I'm afraid to break the tweeters direct attack by more than 100W)
It heats can be a bit much and I plan to CRER openings to facilitate cooling (loss of warranty, but ...)

I used the last one month, my MODEL Previous (20 years dj silent fixed analog 4-way hand-made of APRS Elektor (24 db / octave)
In my exprience APRS brand, it is a report quality / price ratio.
A purchase and a solution (active amplification-direct) recommend even in stereo, the price of a good amp trs HC 6 channels as trs OCCAZ affordable and not have to have the last d encoder trick or thing. Amme is a back-up channel in case of breakage ... All you need is a direct between 6 ch. end of the text in November 2008

Last Day 07 2009:
APRS searching the internet "DCX2496," I seek the amliorer. using kits and clock power, the device is not guaranteed ... As I attack with digital, I'm not going to change the analog inputs.

There is indeed little lack of clarity in the upper midrange and treble which I spoke in November and I put down the B & W (I purchased the HP 2496 and at the same time). No excessive noise, but finding the receiver (AVR745 or Yam1400) potentiomtres are placed with APRS.
J'tais a bit skeptical but the change Selectronic power and linear VCXO Superclock amliore clarity in the treble and mdium. (I finished this August 1, 2009) is however a bit expensive I think (the amount of kit are limits) and many sr risk! See for yourself ...
Other changes on 8 10 2009 - I think most INTERESTED-replacement op amps by LME49720 (6 eur x12 pice for outputs, watch datasheet poustouflant! The only paramtre o can be beaten is the slew rate is 20V / s is the minimum ncessaire 4V / s because my amp is limited 40V / s el the voltage gain is 20 dB, is not they who will limit this settings) the noise is reduced by 10 dB. It becomes difficult to measure ditorsion (one of the PDO). Clarity wins again (much) my "trick" to test a system that audio:
focus on one instrument or voice and then another if you can not hear that (that) the you in your (very) good ...
I did not choose the solution site speaks well known "DCX2496.fr". I cons by the virtual capacitors liaisonde 6 F 47 (replaced by a simple "bridge"). The offset of the DAC and the PDO is so low even with tempratures limits would lead to a fraction of a volt speaker terminals which would lead to a warming say less than 0.01 W and for a certain HP dcalage mcanique a fraction of a mm.
October 15, 2009 I replaced the DAC of AK4396 by their cousins, I found on Ebay 12 eur, reus in 4 days!
There remains the possibility to interface digital output (6 channels). This site is about the US http://www.asi-tek.com/ but what a price! (This is info I'm not as good as the kits)

Perfectionist, I searched in vain for a replaceable at a reasonable price, which I found more than 1000 .. 8000 euro did not convince me. Some models much more expensive also has bugs, watch it on Youtube o ide to change it.

I still strongly recommend, but do not ask anything of him ... after all the changes made, you get an excellent camera (exceptional?) For less than 700 eur. With these changes, I put a 10!
I complt all with REV2496 (still available in the States) for the rear speakers (center channel of the amp and 2x Bose 801)

Param filter + Q = 10 (1 Low, 2 of Mid, High on a) there is 4% of memory free (as in a PC with 1 GB of ram, no user 1 GB). You can program and simulate Tlcharger your rglages To check your config maker on the site. I do not perois diffrence when I change the frquences cutoff of 2% up or down (RESOLUTION DCX2496 the corresponding octave 1.4%) may be good be that I do implement the "golden ears" .
