The piano sound is playable but Exceeds quickly.

for sounds and effects I know, but there is always more .... compared to that of bx today it is lagging behind, but not out of sight!
This is a good worstation trs.

In stand alone, the screen is big enough for comfortable use.

UTILIZATION

It korg! you're in your house quickly.

I never pushed the edition too, but it is not a careful synht

Manual provides much!

SOUNDS

All dpend what you want to do with, is rput Korg sounds for its synthesis (beaches)
Good gnraliste ts raliste for acoustic top is not.
VLOC after touch Ok, highlight the same era in the combis that use of 8 stamps I think of memory!

OVERALL OPINION

I had a few years ago. (Now Triton Studio 88 Korg ... always!)

I go back in time, I buy it without hsitations.

The features are easy to find so I will not dwell on it.

1/The keyboard is still the same, it's a Yamaha, that of SY77. It is excellent, robust, fast etc ...
2 / The screen is not backlit. I have not seen a single 01W on which the screen was still backlit. It is a well known disease and does not interfere with the operation of the synth.
3/Il is its weight.
4/Un big screen is nice.

UTILIZATION

It is quite easy to use, combined, of prog, a sequencer, a floppy drive etc ... everything is easy to understand.

SOUNDS

We are entering the most interesting part of this machine sounds. To cut over right away, the sounds are much better than the M1 and T series

Remember that the 01W was the best of Korg around 1992, so it's not a toy.

1/The layers are huge, I think ultimately they are perhaps even better than on my trinity. Ca plane high in the 01 series. It's bewitching good! simply.
2/The bass and sax are good, they were good before (M1, T), they are still here, but I prefer the trinity.
3/Les strings are really good.
4/THE orchestral sounds are average.
5/Les synthesized sounds are not terrible, but there is no resonant filter either.

The effect is interesting part of this machine and we do not have a lot of things. The disk part is convenient to recharge the conf notemment home when you can not stop Triffouille 01.

OVERALL OPINION

It's still a nice machine. It can be found at good prices, even cheaper than T3, it is much better off. I just sold mine for a pittance, 250 euros. UTILIZATION

Operation is simplicity of dconcertante. The instructions are clear trs, just read it. Whether to edit the "programs", the "combis", the drumkits, the effects ... trs nothing is complicated (if you know the basics of sound synthse). The information on the screen sometimes seem arranged in bulk but it's no big deal.

SOUNDS

I love the sound of this synth should be careful because even the sound is quickly overwhelming if not properly back some of the tones are powerful trs. It is a reader samples of the beginning of the 90s, o weaknesses for reproductions of instruments. The strings do not sound trsralistes but crent a nice texture for example. So even sounds that rats appear to be used.

Here's how I use it: it is connected to MIDI squenceur my PC, which CONTRL several synths. The 01/WFD is put in "Sequencer" which allows accder directly to 16 MIDI tracks. No effect is activated it passes through the multi-purpose fitting my external mixer.

The sounds I prfre: the tubular bells, choirs, string ensembles, the positive organ, electric bass, or a marimba that I superimposed a flute sound, which gives a sound ok (near Fairlight sound used by Asia in 1982).

I do not like the electric pianos 01/WFD. The acoustic piano is used in a mix trs, but not too alone.

Brass and guitars against ... I use those sounds not a synth-l ... Well that this level is the the 01/WFD dbrouille not bad for the era.

The sounds are purely synthetic trs good overall (well, there is always a little dchet ...).

OVERALL OPINION

I've had about 2 years. If c'tait again, I Rasht one. He currently serves normment couple a Roland XP-80 full of expansion cards. It makes me 32 MIDI tracks to Get You Started is plutt lot (over the tracks on my cheeks monotimbraux synths).

Attention to the keyboard and the keys that famous "stick" (c - d dating trs slowly when they are released). A vrifier at the time of purchase, then lubricate or if you have the patience to disassemble the machine. I might be attacked me one day, although I play some trs on the keyboard (I CONTRL all over the XP-80 and Cakewalk).
