USE

I use the studio to compose music room / relaxation / epic

I also used the weekend for entertainment with a variety orchestra (dance music, disco, dance, bagpipes, rock, etc ...)

I have tried on other models and other brands, but the Juno Gi that best fits my needs because it is the only one that offers a recording function as simple and well made, which allows you to dial in any simplicitbr />

I love +:

- Its weight because it is easy to transport
- Touch is very pleasant for a synthbr /> - the sequencer fashion / recorder is really very complete (a real studio)
- The sonorities
- Operation on rechargeable battery, which allows to catch sounds anywhere outside

what I like least:

- Output for headphones is located on the rear panel (as many keyboard), it would have been more convenient placed forward on the cot as the roland e80 for example, but we have everything

with the experience, yes I would do this choice without hesitation!

No midi sequencer. :-(
It is very compact, "all in one", not fifteen machines to compose and record, and AC is nice and it does not mess in the living room!
And this with a MUSICAL INSTRUMENT, not a computer!

UTILIZATION

Clear manual.
Very simple and intuitive.
Editing sounds is not so complete a hardcore synth but it's enough.
Split the keyboard childish.
Very light touch, not great but not catastrophic. The keys are slightly shorter than a standard keyboard, but this is not a problem and we quickly forget this detail.
A model of ergonomics in my opinion, no need of manual.
Everything is simple and clear, the number of buttons is sufficient without being too important not to feel like a "gas factory". We just want to play. Nickel.
Even the screen with big blue letters on black background (and not vice versa as in others!) Is very clear and nice.
Juno gi is primarily a musical instrument that makes you want to play right away, not like most workstations are great workstations, but give little inspiration. No midi sequencer here, I bought it knowingly, quite a handicap but it is perhaps what makes it so charming ... Because when you have an idea nothing easier than to save the fly and mix audio and MIDI (with guitar effects bosses who are loyal to the brand). A good point! No other manufacturer offers ca.
But beware! Small detail but very embarrassing for me: no COUNT IN! This means that when you press ca stores, like the good old days of cassettes .. And what could remedy, no auto punch-in either !!! Aw ...
So unless you are an experienced keyboardist and play your song perfectly in one go when you save, for others (like me ..), it'll be difficult to do something "clean". But against as I've said for a singer / songwriter guitarist, you will record your ideas easily in 5 minutes, with one machine, and AC is unique in its class.
I still have my Yamaha QY 70 handy to have a base for parts that require quantification flawless. And then I save it in the juno and I add instruments, guitar and voice. But watch again, second negative: the recorder is not in sync midi clock with another device. So to synchronize the tempo of the juno with the rhythm you are going to record it, you can forget too bad ...

SOUNDS

THE highlight of the juno gi.
It sounds.
The sounds are (too) many, tidy and easily accessible.
Pianos are many and all VERY good, you will always find yours. Not like the Korg kross where it seems they took a single sample and declined in 50 variations. No, there are all different and they all sound great, grand piano (4 presets) the synthetic piano-type keyboards .. The "wurly" are good and realistic, but lack dynamic as me, it is not worth yamaha.
Organs many outstanding! The best I've heard on a synth.
Nylon guitars .. zero ..:-(
Steel guitars well but few.
Guitars superb.
Acoustic and electric well for synth basses I can not really say I do not use it., But it looks good.
Strings, well. Brass and wood, very well.
Choirs and voice and many among the best on the market in my opinion.
Drums: good but not so many that ca. Realistic acoustic and pretty electronics. But it seems to me they are a little unbalanced kicks are much too strong I think, and no possibility to adjust the levels separately, so bad ... But it all sounds the same.
And finally the category "synth" (leads and tablecloths) ... She is so bloated that you always find your happiness, something for everyone I assure you!

OVERALL OPINION

Well, I hesitated with a mox yamaha and korg kross, a pc3le kurzweil ...
And finally I took this one for audio recording with effects. And I do not regret it.
Certainly no MIDI sequencer, so to pieces nickels gonna be really hard (see above ..), but there is already dealing with what to do with a compact, simple instrument, which makes you want to play as sounds are very good overall.
Today the FA 06 arrived, so to see ...
But I think the juno gi is an excellent instrument "leisure" while being of outstanding quality.

I did not try another product. I hesitate with PA500, but I wanted to be able to modulate the sounds easily, without much programming. Is I got a price unbeatable so I did not look further.

Moreover, it has the particularity to work with rechargeable batteries, which can power the enmener everywhere outside to catch such as sound or play in the place where the current is not accessible

what I love most:

- Output for connecting headphones that is at the back (as many synth)

The Roland Juno Gi is very affordable as well as powerful. I have used the Juno Gi with Reason and with Cubase as well as with Logic from time to time. The Gi has a new 8 track recorder that will allow you to sync it right up with your DAW to do your track outs in a timely and easy fashion. All 61 keys are velocity driven, and there are 79 different effects that can be added right on the board which is not bad for a keyboard that cost under 100 dollars. It excepts all of the standard file formats including MP3, WAV, and AIFF and it has over 120 different presets for arps. The Roland Juno Gi is different than the other Juno line of boards from Roland. It is more up to date and has more sounds of “today’s” music rather than some of the other Juno boards that have some older sounds. The Juno Gi has a very good pitch been lever than gives you a clean pitch bend like most of the Roland boards do. It is easy to maneuver and move around to bend your pitches.


UTILIZATION

Editing your sounds are not as easy as they are on some other Roland boards but that is primarily because the screen isn’t as user friendly. The Juno Gi is more designed to use the on board knobs and sliders to change your sounds rather than on a screen. The manual that comes with the Juno Gi is kind of confusing and a little bit too long. They could have summed up some of the functions in less words to not make it so lengthy. Setting the Juno Gi up couldn’t be easier though!


SOUNDS

Some of the sounds are very realistic and some are not. By far, the sounds on the Gi are better than the other Juno boards to me though, but they all need a little work. Unfortunately some of the sounds and presets from the other Juno’s aren’t including in the Gi which I was not to happy with. Some sounds are included but not my favorite ones which makes me have to keep both boards.


OVERALL OPINION

The Roland Juno Gi is very affordable and easy to use, if you are looking into the Roland Juno set of keyboards then you should go with the Gi first. It is far ahead of the other models and has an easier ability to sync with your DAW or software. For the price it is a must have.

The version that I aitst is 61 notes. Touch is substantially different than the juno Di (A little better)

There are 1300 sounds, View Categories by rpart. An arpeggiator, pitch, audio noon, 8-track audio recorder
(Unable to tster, a reader that accepts sequence cls standard USB and reads wav mp3 smf (on paper looks nice aal)

The effects are signs boss (but if I don abuse is a division roland therefore more effective marketing that something else ...)

Very easy to choose her.
ACCS was not the manual

SOUNDS

OVERALL OPINION

roland. I've rarely t of their machines, never completely scotch either. Yamaha m really had seduced her with piano and rhodes sounds the era of the first patterns. Korg m was inspired systems combined with the arpeggiator and TR. The I must say that I haven t had the impression of playing on a modern machine output in 2010. Still, the craft is lg mid mid mtal plastic. Apart from the power supply which is not integrates, and clf atrappe for cheap usb which frankly, I find the juno gd look less fragile than the Korg M50. But choosing between the two, I think that I will go instead of the cot korg, which, for the same price a touch screen, sounds more flattering, the system of the arpeggio ready employment.
Juno but thanks to his 8-track recorder and USB ACCS is not without advantage to the scene, so one should tster it further.
In the case of buying his premeir synth or a user who wishes to use that no machine in this price range, the question arises of other words.
It may be useful to compare these two products at the prices and finishing pretty close, but some options remain diverged ...
