Korg Kaossilator Pro

The Kaossilator is Real-Time like KP3 and You can create Loops up to 4 Measures. Electronica is Loop-Based. So this is a fabulous device. It has little in the unit for FX unlike the KP3 which is loaded with FX tweak Samples. This is a fantastic device and I LOVE this thing. It can record external instruments of all sorts but You need RCA end cables to the Korg unit Kaossilator and KP3 and You'd need a dual 1/4 TS-to- RCA ends to record into these units in Stereo... or a TRS 1/4"-to-RCA ends.

UTILIZATION

You can export both WAV and AIFF files to the Korg units... BUT... it Exports as WAV, so if You use Logic/Garageband then You need to find online converter software like Switch to convert the WAV Files to AIFF. The Editor Software allows You to do vast tweaks and edits to the Loops You create and export them back to Korg units or keep on file once edited... BUT be aware they will be WAV Files so You have to convert them to AIFF if You're Mac Logic/Garageband. WAV is a Windows/Microsoft set-up.

SOUND QUALITY

It has 200 Factory Synth Sounds. and a very hip Gated Arpeggiator that You can tweak too. All of the factory synth preset sounds that come with Kaossilator Pro are great. More than you would expect to get out of an affordable piece of gear like this. Just check it out for yourself you will be amazed.


OVERALL OPINION

The Kaossilator is Real-Time like KP3 and You can create Loops up to 4 Measures. Electronica is Loop-Based. So this is a fabulous device. It has little in the unit for FX unlike the KP3 which is loaded with FX tweak Samples. This is fun and I think Parents ought to get this for children to play and learn Music on. Also it has a grounding screw for hooking into a rig like a DJ/VJ which a lot of hardware doesn't have.

J will not dwell here ... everything has already been told repeatedly.

Already the first spot in the table ... the presets are completely frozen. Impossible to assign this effect we want abscissa and ordinate. Frankly I think for any liveur that respect, it really sucks.

But it is not the number one criticism that I do in KAOSSILATOR

UTILIZATION

Using ultra simple, it sounds quite nice out very quickly ...

Two large pb in my opinion:

1. The less disturbing when these loop phrases, recording does not stop at the last measurement (as is the case for electribes ...). must be very accurate if the sounds overdub.

2. Here it is ... The enormous black dot!
Sync twelve o'clock does the bpm! No Start Stop! C is really unacceptable. To specify a little for those who have not grasped. You do a little session with other machines, you save your loops. The next day you resume where you left off, and your loops will be more savvy, though!
Can not claim to be a live track or even under these conditions. All korgs and even the oldest features the start stop is the BABA. The only solution was to return the samples consisting of loops in software or machinery in any case if you leave them in the KAOSSILATOR .... and ben is dead.

SOUND QUALITY

The cons with nothing to say, the textures are rich and the sound is very good.

OVERALL OPINION

Following this problem MIDI I sold after three weeks. I have found it important to give my opinion because if I had read here before my purchase, I would turn to something else.
However, if you intend to use this instrument only "pure live" so to speak, that is absolutely not the creation phase, it can be interesting. Otherwise you will need to go through a software.

Short as I did not watch the MIDI, I thought "CE KAOSSILATOR is really nice, it will truly enriched my textures électribes" And then, "No, but it is not possible there must be a solution" and then "OK I sold this machine runt"

I'm probably a little hard but sorry ... for me it does not really happening, really badly korg MIDI thought, how can we make such a mistake!

the korg understand a loop editor that can record up to 4 concurrent live track. It can also record your favorite loops or in a SD (memory cell 100) or directly into your PC using a USB cable or twelve o'clock. Only drawback, it can not load the loop for an active reading. You can connect a microphone (XLR), a disable input and headphone input jack for plugging in any other instrument in order to record directly into your loops.

UTILIZATION

KAOSSILATOR handling is extremely simple! there is a free software download that allows tranfer the USB and Midi files in 2 directions and that is just as easy to use. Even someone who is not a musician can use it without problem. The hand touch is attractive and is also very sensitive.

SOUND QUALITY

The type of sounds is based primarily on electro sounds, but there are also some sounds of acoustic intruments like piano, drums, guitar or bass that are sufficiently realistic and surprisingly for this type of console.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 2 years and I never tire of it! combined with the Kaoss Pad 3 it is a combination of professional live! the pro Kaossilator makes sounds and KAOSS PAD 3 lets you manipulate any sound emitted by external (microphone / voice, piano, etc. ... KAOSSILATOR). The value for money is really exellent! It is very advantageous especially for the live or even a trip in a personal session electro.
