I'll spare you the technical details of DJ. The videos are better than me. I would attach myself to a single point: the sound quality. No magazine is talking about it when it comes controller !!! Yet! First experience on midi controller! it's really simple, well designed, everything seems natural man-machine interface ... nothing to say.
We pass the sound! Big mistake on my part, I go on without presta test the sound of the beast other than headphones or there, it was flawless! Mid evening I tracked down an old BEHRINGER DJX 700. Back to normal !!! this is to tell you!
The next morning super worried, I pass the controller to the tester (DAAS). My ear is still sharpened (the positive part of the story). Identical curves found on all inputs, all channels D or G or balanced outputs on RCA. Absolutely not linear bump over 3dB to 200Hz and 2Khz. The action on the knobs making only worsen the situation. Replaced the following week no one Allen & Heath dx Cygnus. There's no picture! the sound is impeccable, dynamics, sound reproduction! My conseil..NUMARK N4, go your way even to 388 €. The output of a PC headphone on a standard table works better! The record is to be classified in defective devices! Joined curves.

I very quickly returned to TRAKTOR
everything works for me previewing ....

I love the paper and Numark n4 is super well positioned but there are some things that I have preferred to return after qques days:

- No navigation buttons (or back or fwd) so that you waste time and some subfolders are inaccessible (in any case you can not return without a mouse)

- The screen is black .. knobs knob as: whether or not the position is in a dark place

- Mapping not fit with Serato DJ: no self loop shift required for on / off effects, no access to the samples. necessary shift too. and above .. not possible to map differently!

mapping is better for serato damn intro, but in this case we lose the advantage of having four tracks.
with virtual DJ is pretty good, but you have to love this app. not possible for me.

In short, I was wrong, and after the spec and the "mouth" I thought AC would do with Serato DJ, but in fact it is really a dedicated or virtual dj Serato Intro (with possibility of plates ext on tracks 3 and 4). say it is a mixtrack pro 4-way table with a real integrated mix.

otherwise it is as serious as other numark, AC plugs it works ... but if it should prevent others to do the same mistake, here is my opinion

- Largue possibility
- No beug since I (Window 7 (64), 6G Ram, Intel Core i7, 2.20 GHz)
- XLR & RCA Output
- Two headphone jack (Jack & Mini Jack)
- Possibility to connect two microphones directly above
- Operates in Stand Alone (no obligation PC if there are outdoor decks)
- Nice Design

The -:

- Can I use the second software comes with: Serato (The software does not recognize the board)
- Revision of basic software ... But good for the price ..

How would you rate the quality / price?

Very correct when you see the price in the competition ...

I use the Numark N4 since early February 2013 for personal use.

Did you try many other models before buying it?
No, I am proud to also find many different opinions on audiofanzine different than those given by friends DJ and seller of audio equipment. However, I started the combo Pioneer CDJ350 and DJM700.

What is the particular feature you like best and least?
most: jog a good size for a controller, and more responsive than my hopes book Controller with Serato DJ Intro, independent mixing table, four voices (two external inputs), master output in RCA or XLR and design it must be say rather successful.
the least: no hot cue with Serato DJ Intro, plastic frame but at this price ...

How do you rate the value for money?
I bought this controller to United States for $ 350 so about 300 euros, and level value for money it is hard to beat I think.

I love to 4 pieces mixed together. Response time and sync with virtual Dj very correct. Easy installation. Table well lit. Possibility also racordé amp directly on the table for those who will not have a real mixing desk .... Possibility of adding two turntables cd or vinyl (gnd included)

I do not like the pre headphones, hard enough and has parametered fustrant early.
Cross quite small and steep pitch without detent stop in the middle of race (LED)

Basically I hardcore mix on turntables I bought this model for mixed year 80 elctro etc for small evening ambience. Do not buy if you want N4 achieve a pro. Ideal for basic mix or repaired. I tested hercules table .... A council does not purchased ... Same for the total control ... Do not ever bought. Counted mini € 300/400 for something to drink.

Excellent controller in its price range.
Most are the presence of balanced XLR master outputs and RCA, and an output Booth (RCA) for recording. It is standalone mixer, ie no PC required to use it, you can connect mp3 players, CD players, phones etc. ... RCA entered on the 2 provided for this purpose. Overall ergonomics are good, the spacing between each knobs and faders is good (for those with big feet like me) The quality of the faders is good but a little weak on the side of the knobs or it may be noted that on each there is a small clearance between the chassis and knobs. The size of jogs allows easy setting of songs by ear, those - are tactile, which is not very practical when you are in scratch mode and we inadvertently touches the surface of the jog This mutes the few micro seconds. The sound card is good, but I do not think it is designed to be on big sound system.
Comes with Serato DJ Intro, perfectly designed for the Numark N4, and Virtual DJ (remember it so it is zero). Compatible with Traktor Pro 2 where a mapping is available for owners of this software on the Numark site. 100% integration of the layout of the controller on Traktor.
Only downsides, finishing 100% plastic, but at this rate ...
There is also the absence of hotcues which is not good.
