Pioneer will launch next month the XDJ-R1, its new all-in-one control system for DJ.

The Pioneer XDJ-R1 combines a MIDI controller with two jog wheels to dual CD players, USB port for track mixing and playback, a two-channel mixer, a 24-bit / 44.1kHz audio interface and wireless remote control features via iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch with the rekordbox app. The controller will also be compatible with Virtual DJ LE (4 decks) which will be available mid-june on Pioneer website, and the computer version of rekordbox software with which the DJ can prepare his sets and export them via USB.

The controller can play AAC (USB only), MP3, WAV, AIFF and 24-bit files. You’ll also find the common functions found on Pioneer pro controllers: beat sync, tap tempo, auto loops, three hot cues per deck, Sound Color (noise, pitch, crush, filter) and Beat (trans, flanger, echo and roll) effects, sampler with three pre-loaded samples, quantization… an independent 3-band isolator with kill is also included, as well as Vu-meters on each channel and the Master output.

Connections on XDJ-R1 include XLR and RCA Master, RCA Booth and two 1/4" and 1/8" headphone outputs, two RCA Phono/Line and one RCA aux inputs and you can connect a microphone to the 1/4" input.

The Pioneer XDJ-R1 controller and dual CD player will be available starting mid-june for $1099 MSRP. More details are available at www.pioneer.eu.
