CHARACTERISTICS For that motivated my choice: I think above all reliability. I had tried other programs but I must say that I Serato bleuf its stability and reliability of use.
I mix with Serato for almost a year for each of my accessories and I've never had any problems.
Here is my configuration: 2 SL1200 MK2 turntables, one mixer ECLER HAK 360, an iBook G4 1.20 GHz with 768 MB Ram running on Mac OS X 10.4.9. I chose an Apple laptop for its reliability and stability. And finally an external hard drive from Iomega Minimax 160 gg in Firewire.
GETTING STARTED
For the installation I had no problem, everything was configured Manir simple. In addition to the iBook's really easy as you branches you click on Scratch-Live, and has gone to sessions mix.
We can also prepare its iTunes playlist thanks in advance.
SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE
For use in the evening was really great, no more tray 50 kg and hard rays or even flights (lol). Scratch-Live is a marvel of simplicity of use, super fluid. The mix is even easier because now in addition repert sound, we have a visual repert because the oscillations are listed and rated dfile vertically. It's really nice pens.

I might burn out a good slogan but it is the phrase that says it all: I RVer Serato did!
Serato is, I think the evolution of deejaying. At first I was super skeptical, but after trying it was adopted.
Despite its high price compared to its competitor's price is justified.
Serato is the future!
