- How long have you use it?
I've had one or two weeks, but I'm getting a lot of experience at the pedals because I have a lot tested

- What is so special that you like most and least?
What I like most is ca reactivity underfoot! ca super hand easily without spending too much unnecessary energy. ca was released completemt my game! me I can finally concentrate on other things and implement ideas that I had but I could not do because the pedals were too heavy. I also love the super large pedal that can give a lot of effects with the heel ... To summarize, it is light, fast, nervous, and paradoxically, I find it very poyvalente for different style! the possibilities of adjustment are allucinantes and have really felt the differences in behavior ... while being much easier to resolve than the Iron Cobra (never found a proper adjustment in 2 years ...) and the Happiness!

What I dislike? nothing is perfect! to the extreme rigor, it is mainly the fact that we really need to be careful to be clean, but it just fast enough ...
- Have you tried many other models before buying it?
Yes! not bad indeed ... the three Iron Cobra, the DW 5002, 7002 and 9002, the Sonor Giant Step, the Janus, the Pearl Eliminator and P-100, DPP BOA, the Trick Pro 1 V, various Yamaha (new and old which I know more references) (among the recent, the DFP 9410 and 9310), the Camco ... I forget of course, but even if the Axis is far ahead, I wish to give special mention to the DFP 9410 (though a little dry I think but excelletnt RAPORT potential / price), the BOA, the Pearl P-100 that do not look, but very good for a pedal in this range ...
- How would you rate the quality / price?
As for the money ... RAPORT It is very expensive, but it's amply justified, so it compensates. the quality is impeccable and the design is both rudimentary, but very worked. eficace simple! The Cobra can go Rabiller because it is an insane marketing hype, but life is not ... The Axis is phenomenal!

- With experience, you do again this choice? ...
it became my pedal, for life, I feel it! it can be fast, powerful, versatile, and very pleasant to play, not to mention almost unlimited potential (as well said another user of the Axis "the only limit is you !").. . that happiness! this choice I would do again in a heartbeat because I find everything I could dream of a pedal!

- What is the particular feature you like best and least?

I love lgret the pedals, it feels to type in the vacuum which couple the impressive speed of the return of the bat, makes a game really comfortable and fast . No chain is a solid aluminum kouroi so extreme precision. Bats "sonic hammer" is not bad at all, but by opting for bats pearl eliminator, the rponse is much more nervous (I really want to test the bats Danmar red wood!).
What makes the particularity of the pedals is the sole "longboard" and "drive level": THE FIRST is very enjoyable and the game allows, among other "heel-toe" on the drive level is simply gnial! we adjust the angle of the cam 2 seconds grace a small wheel, and any changes will really feel the pedals. The springs are strong enough that suits me perfectly, and it should be noted that the pedals can DDouble in two simple identical, which is not the case on any other pedal (there is just one piece advisser !)
Nanmoins, I find the gimbal trsdcevant (wear, loss of speed, game, etc. ..).

- Have you tried many other models before acqurir?

I had a Pearl P122TW, a DW 5002 and a Pearl eliminator (all 3 of trs good pedals!)
I test everything else including the Tricks, which is good pedals really well done, but that has nothing to do with the axis (unlike what they want us to believe, the bastards! ).

- How do you report qualitprix?

I pay 540 thanks to a good contact, which is even cheaper than when the market, but cheap though (!) But ... even when one is exceptional pedals so ...

- With the exprience, you do again this choice? ...

I bought it blindly because they are not distributed in France, relying only to the many artists using (Derek Roddy, Nick Barker, George Kollias, Inferno ...)!
I would point out (like so many other!) Has the transition very difficult and I lost a lot of time while reworking (the point of considering selling it!).
Despite that, I do it again this choice because the feelings are outside the norm, and for those like me who make music extreme, it's really happy!

I just had this double (in black sr well, it is so much better ^ ^) and I must say I am impressed with the speed it provides in relation to the pedals Previous I have had. In 20 minutes I russi Exceeds my max speed, and without being in great shape and without rglage optimized ...

Dernire the pedals that I bought is a single chain Sonor, enjoyable and trs is correct for the price. Before I had a DW 5000 double chain which I really dcu ... touch too heavy .. Tait left the pedals really much slower than the right, in short, I sold drunk and with the money I could buy the Sonor which ignores much faster and easier r Gler.

To return to the Axis AL Longboard I think is really good. Dj principle longboard is a good find. THE FIRST pedals and it allows me to find my rglages as quickly (unlike other reviews I've read). In fact it is the very first time I find a rglage IDAL without touching the spring (the most bored .... rgler). In fact, the Axis can rgler: the angle of the bat, the depth of the bat (thanks to Systm "sonic hammer" and, through their ingnieux "variable drive up" the r response of the pedals (lever up: long reach and powerful shot, lever down: touch and bounce up short). It's quite magical about the Axis not need to reach the bottom the spring to get a speed leve.

J'espre reputable of his delicate pedals is not going vrifier ... For the record Axis has just increased its rates by 20%, they have strengthened j'espre spices that posed problem. They have profits at least to add a clip to hook the bass drum pedals (finally). In the end she will have me cot 666 euros (this figure is not good ^ ^), was expensive but when I think that j'tais prt to 860 euros for a trick pro1 v- 2 I finally could test that is not so great ... And compared to 500 euros for the DW 5000 is well worth it, especially since we can convert into two single pedals.

I remake a comment in a year to tell you if I do not regret my choice.

It's been a year since I have an Axis AL-2 Longboard. I had 4 double pedals before this one, the latter being a DW 5002 AD. And it must be almost 10 years I played drums (with a big break in the middle).

Overall, it's not a bad pedal. It is light, fast (it depends of course on how the rule). Hammers origin (Sonic Hammer), although very controversial, are not so bad. I've still changed by bats an Iron Cobra and is even better. Right now, I play on a Roland V-Drums TD8 drum so meshed. The advantage of Sonic Hammer (with cork tip) is that it really does not make noise. DW with the plastic bat, it's very noisy. Iron Cobra bats about Axis, in cotton with patch version Remo head is between the two (the patch adds noise but is essential to protect the stitches COW cotton batting).

Level game, this double pedal is great for metal. Fast and accurate for the passages in double or triple quavers supported. It really is no groove for the (necessarily come away with setting type at the bottom). The variable drive length (VDL) is not, in my opinion, a real adjustment cam (like turbo / accelerator on DW or different color on Pearl cams Elim). It is mainly used to swing between / rebound hardness and control / weight. In fact, it just changes the lever arm of the cam without changing its curvature.

Price aside, it is expensive. I have been offered but I think the price is above what it's worth. Go to the metal, it is maybe 10% more efficient than IC or Elim, but it costs double. For you to see if it's worth it ...

Its weak point? Construction!
If you read somewhere: "Heavy-duty construction, aerospace equipment, etc.. "Now that you know your head is paid. The main plate is strong, but is able to break a plate DW, Pearl or Tama, frankly? on the other hand, all hardware is the lowest range of never seen (such counterfeit Chinese). Already, the settings are made using a USB drumkit plus 6 Allen key provided. This is nonsense. And these are of course Allen key to imperial measures (Anglo-Saxon) so do not lose them because it's easy to find in a tool warehouse. Almost all the screws have rusted in less than a year. The VDL of the right pedal to also rusty and you have to break the fingers to move, even after having greased. Moreover it is dismantled, we can not even polish. The adjustment of the tension out again is awful. Must go to the clip and spend hours to not get stoned hands. Access is difficult, there are plenty of elements that hinder the thumbscrew is damn evil and the tension is horribly high (for nothing, just a design pb). As for the universal joints that connect two pedals, there's a block on either side. After 2 months of use, this U-joint working by fits and starts and you can feel at the pedal. The Sonic Hammer (which I use for months so) are also completely rusted.

Do I recommend the double pedal? Yes, if you store it in a box immediately to the shelter of the moisture and you never change the settings. Otherwise, IC or Elim almost as good and cheaper bcp; Trick a little more expensive but much easier to adjust and more reliable (tested in a mate). I put a note to 6 because of the build quality. If I had to buy it, I probably put less bcp.

Did you try many other models before getting this one?
I spent several low-end models before buying a iron cobra. Honestly when over 200 bpm in eighth by making curly, our good old iron cobra is starting to show its limitations. The long board is, in turn, designed for high tempos. that's where it operates at its maximum.

What thing do you like most/least about it?
its flexibility, the multitude of possible settings and robustness make it the ultimate weapon of extreme metallers.
only black spot in my eyes, it is delivered in cardboard. No box for transport and when you know the price of this little gem ...
So I made a custom flight case to protect it during concerts.

What is your opinion about the value for the price?
one must yield to the evidence, this double cost an arm.
But for me the value is justifié.Certes the demon by pearl eliminator is easy to find and cheaper but keep in mind that the axis turns into two single pedals (by removing the universal joint).

Knowing what you know now, would you make the same choice? ...
