Drummer for over 20 years on all models ...
I bought a 505 to my eight year old son. the model with GC 18 * 16 is perfect for ch'tios. for the good info seems 1m15 beach and beyond.

purchase from "foo" for 340 euro (seat not provided) in Germany.

then good quality items: perfect except the bass drum up bad.
the original skin if it'll get jazzy for a p'tiot also but I can not help thinking that it could be better, especially the bass drum.

confirmation of the weakness of the foot bass drum. the rest is ok, the foot of charley not too responsive, but it'll be good anyway.

I do not regret that choice just because the finish is worth it! and then all breathe the strength (except the foot of GC)

-What I like about it is the snare: ACORD was for me a breeze and it really sounds great with a clear Powerstroke III. Its powerful enough, and mat. I have compared the signature has a pearl Chad Smith and oddly, they sounded almost the same! Bass drum sound is a bit dry and slamming. Despite this, it fits well with the snare drum and provided with hithat. I do not like are the high toms: Not enough mat for the rest of the kit and not hot enough either.

-The seller of my shop is recommended. They are deceived they have failed to sell me a 1005 for the same price. Too bad they saw the symbol "1005" by opening the box packing list.

I bought my SONOR 505 series last year. I use this drumkit as: Bass Drum 20 "toms and 10", 12 ", 14" bass drum and pedal (very simple but very good)

I immediately changed the drum head (the original skins are too thin) by REMO Pinstripe, and I get good sound (except for medium tom). But we must strive to have very little of its fat.

For the bass drum, I tried a lot of possibilities. Currently I set the Ambassador felt with mutes, but the sound is not at all that I expect. I'm looking for the attack and powerful sound, dull and a little round. Fortunately, good microphones catch some of these defects.

Given the price of this drumkit and its strength, I note in 8 out of 10.
