It replaces the sm58 and replace it!
OVERALL OPINION
I used shure first prizes (PG SERIES) and after a few days I could not go, I had a real quality microphone which could be suitable for both scne for my home- studio. Rsultat I bought the beta 58A and I am delighted. It is great and with good prampli a little work in the investment for the sound recording and mixing is a small gnial. I also use it with an Alesis midiverb4 home and your exact perfect. This gives me a fantastic atmosphere and I even found the atmosphere of Radiohead's lives.
