i acuired this bass for my birthday and $207 were paid in the buying of it.



The best part about this bass is that it is light and easy to play,i also think that it is very easy to slide my hand on so that helps to make it easier to play

i dont like that sometimes it buzzes a lot on the frets and when unplugged it doesnt have good sound

it is of good quality and the construction is good

In conclusion i think the ibanez GSR 200 is a very well put together bass,but does have its downs.I would recommend this bass to anyone who is beggining or doesnt have much to spend.

I bought this at a Guitar Center in Houston Texas for $190

I just got into bass guitar and played around with the other starter basses and didn't like the feel. When I picked up the gsr 200, I instantly fell in love. Its light, packs good tone(on an expensive and cheap amp) and sounds good when slapped.

It buzzes a little, and could be better for jazz. I think its meant to play stuff like slap and funk.

Although the wood is faded a little, it still has a solid feel and is well built.

I picked up this bass from my local store in wycombe (england) simply because i had become interested in playing bass and this seemed to be by far the best starter option.I paid 240 UK pounds
(about $350).This price included a 10 watt practice amp, gig bag, picks, and a book and cd.

The neck is thin and easy to wrap your fingers around - ideal for beginners who have not yet developed finger strength.
It gives a wonderful sound for it's price and most importantly-it looks sweet!!!

The Jazz pickup buzzes very occasionally .Nothing to woory a bout , especially when playing at a decent volume.

This is where this bass really excells.Most 'starter basses' are built like shit, but this isn't a starter bass. It's a proper one at an affordable price.

If you are starting out, this is really the only option unless you have too mutch money for your own good.BUY IT!!

I bought it a guitarcenter store in San Diego for 230$, i was looking for a good beginner Bass...

This Bass is extremely well done for its price range, you can play around with the combinations of the J and P pickups for any sound you're looking for...

is very light and what i think is the best of the bass is the fast and slim neck, and is very comfortable to...

the only problems i have with this unit is that the truss rod have to be adjusted constantly, it changes really fast whit the weather, but if you have a couple of allen keys tis easy to fix...

also, after almost 3 years of constantly rough use (I'm in a rock band and I jump and move violently with the bass hanging to my knees) the screw that holds the strap fall off, but after fixing it and whit the strap taped to the bass body really tight im jumpin' around the stage again...

its very well constructed except for the little problems described above...

look, if you're on a budget looking for bass under the 350$ this is the one for you, it's way better than the similar rogue model...

I bought my bass over the telephone from Musician's Friend. I only paid $200 plus tax.



I love my bass, its' my baby. It's only a cheap starter bass but I love it. I like the color- Jewel Blue which is almost completely covered in stickers, but I liked it when I bought it. Its great! The body is comfortably shaped and extremely light. This makes it an easy bass to plop on a couch and play, or jump around a stage, or whatever you like to do. I also like the neck. It is extremely thin when compared to Fenders. This makes it a very easy bass to play. I can move up and down the neck quickly, and this makes it possible to play many different styles of music. I play alternative, funk, punk, etc, and it sounds great. I also like the P and J style pickups because you can really mold your sound, even without an equalizer. One other thing I like about my bass is the craftsmanship. Even though it is just a starter model it has great construction. It also has great tone and sound.



I didn't like the crappy factory strings that came on my bass. They sounded really bad and just didn't feel right. Once a replaced them everything was great except that the J- style pickup has a tendency to buzz. This isn't noticable when you are playing, but I can just about get rid of it by fooling around with my equalizer.



This bass (or at least mine) has great construction. The screws are all tight and nothing is amiss. The finish in jewel blue is sparkly in some light and is just a nice deep, dark blue in other light. It also is even, and painted to the edges. The neck has good action. I lowered my bridge to my preference but it was fine before. Also (an important one)- all the knobs work.



I like this guitar. It has good constructio, and the complaints I have are rather minor. It also has great sound and tone for a bass of it's price. I went to my music store and tried out some more expensive basses and I was impressed that my guitar was comperable to basses in the $300 range. I love my guitar.I tried out my freinds crappy squire which has a close price- no comparison. This cheap little bass has made me want my next bass to be IBANEZ. A good brand!

I bought mine from Musician's Friend for $200



When i bought this bass, I was not very educated about quality, tone, or anything that makes a guitar good. I consider myself very lucky. This is a great guitar. The construction quality is great. I have no complaints. Not one thing has happened that upset me. I love the neck of this guitar. It is thin and this allows you to play many different styles of music. The bass itself is also very versitile. You can adjust your sound to many different styles of music. Once I changed the crappy factory strings I ould play any style of music I want. Punk, rock, funk. About a month after I bought this bass I went to my local music store and tryed just about every single bass there. It was much better than any bass that had a price around $200, but not too cloce to the quality of a $500 or above bass. Still, for $200 dollars I would say this about the best beginning bass anyone could want. If you are just starting to play this is a bass for you, but even if you are an intermediate player on a budget you will like this guitar.

This guitar has great construction compared to any other guitars near its price range. The bolts are tight, the finish is even and bright. Overall this bass has very good quality.



I like this guitar. It has good constuction, it looks nice, and plays very well. This guitar is for begining and intermediate bass player. I also think that it won "Best Bass" from Musician's Friend, but don't hold me to that.

Plastic knobs .... short of what low-end

OVERALL OPINION

Keep your 200 euros and SAVE again to take you from a range of 300 euros in cort or yamaha or ibanez or even in another .. but do not buy this bass. I have sold 100 euros and it is no more.

Made in Indonesia, I think it's the only important point, which governs the price and quality of the whole.

UTILIZATION

Low with excellent grip. The handle is quite nice, except I think has the access to acute or we must finally break up the wrist to get the note.
The shape and color are really beautiful, even if the body lacks a little personality in the end we are left with a beautiful instrument.
on the other hand, potentiometers that do not actually act as equalizer, it is quickly bored, and eventually, out of spite, just put a bottom.

SOUNDS

Sound level ... We are still in the very low end. The preamp is all the same feeling when playing in the bass, the sound is very round and at the same time quite metal, making it a good bass for the alternative rock or punk rock.
I play with a simple Hartke B150, simple and effective, and frankly, to start I think it's the perfect combo. We do not have settings to do just the volume, and has little directly to the point. If you are looking for a bass without the fuss, I think you found it.
But his level, nothing really folichon, friendly enough bass, but treble lacking, but what do you want for that price, it was not a Stingray.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 2 years now, she never fails, it's my first bass, and it is downright brilliant in this role. Everything is in extremely simple, and when it starts, no attempt is necessarily making direct head with sound.

A buy without hsiter for DBiT with this budget and wanting to test all types of sound.

The sound is not as big as on MODELS prestigious but more than enough for what I did.
Personally, I prfre the type precision mirco the Jazz Bass type is + acute.

OVERALL OPINION

I for 1 year. I tried but I prfr Squier invest in this most versatile bass that is my opinion.
CHRE is not so good quality-price ratio.
I suggest a beginners. However, given its original price (less than 300 euros), I advise also to be very careful because I do not know the solidity (Live, Transport ...) of this bass.
