Single cutaway bass with agathis body, neck stocky, key rosewood, Bolt 2 Bass Humbucker pickups Wilkinson, 2volumes, Tone 1. The finish is beautiful (see photo) in silver sparkle. In addition, while the back (body + neck + head) is covered perloid the best effect. I do not think it is easy to find in France or Europe, I bought it on the net in USD.
I do not put that 5 because you must know that the big problem of low Italia, and of this model in particular is that the plant is zero rglage: standard buzz on frets 2 Premire , intonation and string mdiocres non RULES (my taste anyway). Aprsrglage (curvature, intonation, sanding of the handle) and assembling strings 55-110, 9-10 MRIT it without problem, but the original is a disaster.
UTILIZATION
The handle (once properly rgl) is a rgal who has hands big enough (the handle is quite round but extrmemnt comfortable). Access in acute is impeccable. The only minor complaint is that the body as small enough, the weight is felt a little on the neck with a fender for example. Drout is in the beginners but also a small APRS rev PERIOD enjoyable adaptation. For rglages, no problem with two volumes and a tone that is at all simple.
SOUNDS
The two played with Digitech pedals, a bass driver (distortion) and a bass synth wah (filter, envelope, octave). RPET in studio, everything is sent in a 450W Ampeg SVT Pro Top and cabinet ampeg 4X10.
The sound is a joy. First, the pickups are silent trs. The Tone plays its role, only the volume control may be improved upon a little: basically, 2positions possible, all or nothing.
With the neck pickup alone (I play almost exclusively as a), the sound is round, fat and hair IDAL for rock. By adding the distortion, we touch perfection. The sustain is not phnomnal but sufficient. With the bridge pickup, all becomes a bit sharper but does not break. The strings of 55-110 certainly affect the overall sound and it seems that the low purr.
OVERALL OPINION
I have this bass for about 2 months and since I have my Squier JB Jett (well I do not used any more). When I try and Reue, I felt like crying because of rglages of origin (see above). But an APRS rglage the hair and a montage of the biggest pulling strings, it is the foot. In addition, the look is top - she really looks more beautiful in real life than in photo. It cost me a total of about 580 euros (low + flight + shipping + taxes + + rglage strings) but I really found the ultimate weapon for the big rock sound.
