I got this bass for christmas with a package for 350.

I like this bass because it is a good beginners guitar and i dont think these basses get the respect they need

i was tightening up the plug in output on the bass and the pickup wires ripped off of it and when done fixing thread were worn off and screws would not stay in

For this price it is fantastic quality belive me hitting it on walls and dropping it on the floor it is still in great condition

My comment are be scareful on tighten output plug in on bass

I am more that pleased with this bass. Ive played Fenders and Musicmans and this bass sounded the same. I like the tone. You can play rock like Blink 182 or some fancy jazz. It is lightweight. The bass comes with great pickups. You can play any song on this bass

This bass is almost perfect but it goes out of tune easly.

This is a very well made bass!. It comes with Fender quality and a different name.

This is a great bass for all levles of expirence. I love it. Just like a Fender.

I bought the Squier Affinity P-bass at a small music shop for $180. I bought this bass because I wanted to start playing and I was told it was a good beginer's bass.

I like the Squier affiniy P-bass because it was really cheap compared to other brands of bass. This P-bass has a great shape that holds up against the body perfectly. The sound this bass puts out is excellent. The craftsminship of this bass is great. I have compared this bass to my others and this one is my favorite! This is the perfect beginers bass.

Is there anything wrong with the Squier affinity P-bass? Not that I have ever found. I have compared this bass to some of my other bass guitars and well this is my favorite of them all.

The Squier affinity P-bass is quality made.
I have dropped this bass a few times and it has taken it's toll of bumps, yet this bass still playes great. This bass was made tough.

The Squier affinty P-bass is the best bass I have ever played out of my 37 bass guitars. I suggest this bass to any beginer. This bass is made sturdy and is really cheap. Buy this bass today!

I aquired this unit from a local music store and paid £199.99 for it along with a squier amplifier, gig bag, strap and lead. I started playing because I liked the feel of bass guitar and the sound so it made sense to take it up

I like this unit because, even though most people claim it is not too good quality, the sound and tonal quality is near perfect and doesn't ever drone/rumble or make any other weird sounds. It also looks very nice, it is a Fender licensed product, the creators of bass guitar and it has everything I want in my first bass.

The one problem that came with it was the nobs. They both came off within the first couple of months of purchase and I can't understand this because I bearely touched them.

The quality of this product is high. It is near as good as any proper Fender product which you can be paying upwards of £400-500 for. As I mentioned up their, the nobs come off, but aside from that, it is constructed very well, it's easy to tighten the bridge when needed and is very easy to string and a good pickup configuration. Quality and well constructed

The bottom line is, it's Fender. It's the most popular bass in the world and it's perfect for beginners. If you are a beginner bassist, this should be the bass for you

I got this bass from Pecknel Music. I was a beginner on the bass and just needed something to start out on, but was a made by a quality manufacturer.

It comes with good Fender strings on it that I didn't have to change for more than a year. Good sound and tone to it. Comes with two good pickups.

There isn't really anything wrong with it. Its not the best bass in the world, but it does what you want it to.

Good construction to it. The plate has only broke on me once and it was my fault. A good quality instrument.

If your just starting out or you want a bass to mess around with, this is the one.

I purchased this particular product from musiciansfriend.com for about $170. The purpose for purchasing the bass was because I needed a good knock-around bass that i could use to practice.

The bass is a magnificent starter-uper. Ideal for musicians who need a bass with which they can just practice with. It is very durable and is a recomended buy for any bassists-to-be.

The bass isn't a very professional model, and is not recomended for any gigs in which you need a well-supported bass.

The bass has a rosewood fingerboard and comes with a durable white plastic pickguard. However you might wish to change the strings if you have ordered from musiciansfriend.com. You also may or may not have a problem with the tone knob. But besides this its overall design is unmatched.

All in all, this bass is a recomended buy and it would be wise to purchase one if you play bass.

I purchased the bass in December 2000 from a local Guitar Center. At the time I knew nothing about playing. After spending a month trying I was frustrated and gave up. A few months later I was encouraged to give it another go, and I haven't put it down since. It feels good and user friendly.I doubt I would have continued had this been a different brand. So if you're starting out and want a good learning instrument, the Affinity will meet your needs.

UTILIZATION

The handle is nice for a low-ass that price, CCAA at the last fret is easy asser issue is the low weight 3.9 kg which is bearable and I think the form is (type strat) we obtain a sound ass bn compared to the low price and is good to start

It should mn style of music (rock) mm sadapte very well if all styles (jazz, blues)
the sound is rather bold but sure to set the amp (Hartke for me) we just get a good sound but it is very far from low dune highest quality

I use it for a year I like his adaptation tt jm kinds of music unless it has some fat LeSon fois.le report quality price is very bn bn see! I would do probably the choice mm! c kan mm branded the fender!

This is a copy of the fender precision, made in China, 2 portards, volume, one Tone precision bass type pickups, nothing too orininal. The quality of manufacture is corect trs exept in the electronic gnral is really limited.

UTILIZATION

It's an enjoyable play low trs, trs though the handle is my hand, it is not really heavy, and it does not sting the nose. It is easy to accde acute dsacorde not rev it quickly which is a big advantage during the long rpeter. Once plugged into an amp is not playing correctly trs quickly seen the numbers rglages, you understand! Especially since the pots are trs bad, effective 1 / 20 th of their race, they then crachottent best used as switches in all or nothing!

SOUNDS

The sound is really trs correct, even if it's not the big bass, found sounds interresting, I play finger, little slap and almost never mdiator, the coup d I turns a little of its use, but the sound that I draw is really nice, trs round, and never aggressive, but ACSD dynamic, the quality of the microphones is certainly the case, in fact they are not too bad, they give too much breath I t surprised that level, but I found against a small buz according rglages.

Update of 05/19/05
I changed the original microphone by Seymour Duncan, and while going much better, my seulles error does not take the opportunity to chage all the electronics. Finally with these pickups, I redcouvre my bass, more dynamic, more precision in its depth and clarity also a trs good thing, even if put on a super microphone not low trs's not terrible sense I find my account well.

Note change of micro 7. (I leave 5 because this is what is original)

I changed the electronics, to let more than knob of Vollum, and I call the microphones on a piece of wood very dense (plutt the foam so bizare that there was before), and is even better! one goes one step further in quality especially in relation to the purchase price!

OVERALL OPINION

I have 4 years, I always used and I aprcie more, the sound is trs means, but the comfort of the game is to go, and then it a bass that can take a few shots, mine was a lot of problem, each "destruction" gives it its charm! I had tried 2-3 other models before buying, but I had t sduit its playability So a good bass for fun, who does not fear too much shock and plutt comfortable, would be a blow may be the remake of electronics.

The handle fits my hand a lot, but it may be a bit wide for smaller hands mostly to the treble, which is relatively aisbr CASC /> Weight trs correct for Dumoine my size, and shape file lgrement fits great blow to the body once calle, it moves too much and that's enjoyable ....
Grab you one good sound .... in fact it dpend lot of the amp that goes with it. It is micro trs far the largest, but it plays them rle micro ... rglages the guitar as a minimalist, it is better to carry a good amp to get sound research ....

Yes playing rock in its overall this low trs going well, now I owe her big party in my trs Berhinger BX1200 tural mod that allows the sound ....

This is the copy of the Fender Precision, so that the basic proven. Model assembled in China for good finish for the price.

UTILIZATION

Pleasant handle no more. It is a very decent entry level but you can feel the difference with a Fender USD (ten times more expensive).
As with all details is access to acute way, but it's not made for this bass.
The ergonomics are excellent.
The settings are simple (volume and tone) so it finds its sound in 30 seconds.

SOUNDS

I was told that the microphones were average but my impression is good. It's a bit messy if the bass is not well resolved by trial and error, but quickly found the settings correct and the sound is very clean: the low hum kindly, pleasant chatter mediums. It is nickel.

I play a Peavey 50W Hiwatt and a room on stage: it sends serious!

I takes only 8 / 10 because I tried the Fender USD and we feel a noticeable difference anyway.

OVERALL OPINION

Excellent value for money: € 169 in Germany, living Europe without borders!

Lower assembly in China.

Type Precision, a precision micro type, 1 Volume, 1 Tone, jack the front of the instrument. The jack holds up, the knobs on the inside seem sturdy, covers the knobs a little micro moins.Le based on four springs. The wired everything looks carefully.

Channel width, slightly domed button, 20 frets.
Bridge classical mechanics as unbranded. Few adjustments on the bridge but it is solid nonetheless. The lifts are small and light for "vintage style".

The varnish is not ugly, just brilliant, but it takes even pets through the cover. The pickguard on the other hand is of poor quality (it is bent on some edges and screw holes are misaligned).

For factory settings is not too bad: the action is set in a pretty standard, the intonation is perfect (harmonics are just like all the notes to the twelve / fifteenth freight. For cons the microphone was set incorrectly (not aligned with the strings).

UTILIZATION

Compared with my Fender Jazz Bass.

The strings are easy to play, there are many positions in and around the frieze does not micro.La low against by small parts can vibrate.
Access to treble is good but there are only 20 spaces so it's normal.

The handle is the real weak point. It does not slip, and the frets are not all the same thickness. Yet the bass is fair and does not frieze. Apparently there for my friends neophytes is not a problem in the end it's just less comfortable than my jazz bass (it is normal for a difference of € 1000). For me the songs are very fast almost impossible to do.
EDIT (07/24/09): The handle is really more unpleasant and the strings have become difficult to play, I did play more than pick ...

Webbing, this Squier is balanced but only just. It includes the choice of mechanical shabby: mechanics a bit more bass heavy and nose-dived. Position very rock and easy standing.

Ergonomics should easily repel beginners but probably best used bass lines.

SOUNDS

Overall pleasantly surprised by the very sound of an amp not exceptional (Fender Rumble 100). The tone knob is very effective. Cut back, dull sound. Not really bluesy but agreed anyway. By opening a little tone is through the rhythm'n'blues (blues brothers style) and the rock as it wants to sell it on the radio today. Tone open back and a bit of media on the amp and the sound was punk-rock par excellence (sharp, bright and heavy at a time).

In short, the modern sounds are up, the older a little less. Vintage bass at all.

EDIT (7/24/09): Once the strings a little worn it's really the same thing. Lack of brilliance, treble and bass are not well reproduced by the microphone. Frankly disappointed now. Fortunately I will keep the body of the bass and maybe the bridge. I set up the fretless bass and microphone galley serious bcp mediums that are found. A microphone like that has only one possible use: hanging behind my backpack (yes it does).

OVERALL OPINION

I ordered this bass for change: changing the handle to a Fender Jazz bass and microphone, and electronic assets.
I've had two days, settings, checked in and complete test compared with my other basses.

Quality / fair price especially compared to other entry-level models: at least it's a real low not a toy and it's pretty tough.
A good beginner bass to play modern music (pop punk rock), very melodic treble.

A try before you buy because the handle may not be suitable for small hands.

<strong>EDIT (07/24/09): This low quickly becomes tedious and disappointing. Some beginners grow weary quickly. A forgotten.
But for the upgrades is quite correct, the construction is robust enough, the body resonates well and very strong midrange.

UTILIZATION

Channel trs enjoyable, easy to play.
However BMOL at Access in acute left hand rests against the body part infrieure when you get to the 12th-14th box.
Nothing to say mchant level of ergonomics: as friendly, reasonable weight.
The bridge and the head are very practical to tune and change strings: no problem.
Is easily obtained provided a good sound to a blunder left hand (-> freeze enough frquent)

SOUNDS

The sounds that can be obtained trs are varied: the sound like "walkin" (tonal 0) trs is satisfactory to play boogie, jazz or reggae. In digging the mdiums on the amp (peavey 20w Microbass in my case) and the Tone Rausser is obtained a more aggressive conducive to slap, pop, and playing the mediator. It is thus more comfortable for the funk, hard and metal.
Also I use the pedals overdrive / distortion PD7 Ibanez for a little fun and do stuff dan muse or the like, a safe bet.

ps: be careful, however, the Tone knob cranked to when playing in the treble, the sound becomes too aggressive and not recomand ...

OVERALL OPINION

I use this bass for 1 year and 1 / 2
J'apprcie its look typical Fender, qualitprix dvastateur report and the quality of its suprieure its competitors (personal opinion). However, the absence of a bridge pickup is felt.
Before buying it I tried the action of cort bass and Ibanez GSR200 (active). Compared to these the two I have no regrets but I will buy again if I were probably the P-Bass Special (Squier) equipped with a micro suplmentaire J-Bass at the bridge, offering more versatility (but CHRE more!)
