UTILIZATION

Super simple setup.

SOUND QUALITY

The effects are not bad for this price. The harmonizer is practical, the compressor is rotten, the simulator hp, I do not like at all (note, it's not a reference, because I do not like HP simulators in general !!!!)

OVERALL OPINION

I used this multiFX for 4 years. First with a marshall vs 230R. It was my first multi-purpose. You think the joy on hearing that!! Are there any full effect!
But then I pass a rack system with mesa boogie quad preamp, a musicmanLuke, a Start + + amp Rocktron Velocity 250 Rocktron four speakers.
And I took the face for several months because I found that the mediums around 1, 1.5 kHz were unclear, did not care a bit shit. And even the sound was not like I wanted ... Y 'had a shit, as they say! a sound that assaulted ...
And I tried to remove my GX700 ... and: MIRACLE !!!!! There was no shit!
So I am both very unhappy, but we must not forget that this is not the TC electronics, or the lexicon! It allowed me to start!!
Especially, if you really want something serious: Do as I do: Buy G-Major TC! It's not in the same court! Or one of intelliflex rocktron!

UTILIZATION

SOUND QUALITY

The sound quality is satisfactory, the effects are worthy of bosses, and the cumulation of expression pedals, one can obtain groundwater monstrous.
All effects offer many settings
I use it as multi effect loop PSA1 a preamp in front of a lamp 2x20W power amp and speaker cabinet 2x12 "H & K or 2 marshall 1912 cabinet. Preamp PSA1.
The machine ncessite a little crushing for DSIR sounds but once you find if you do not change too much config (Amp, cabinet, guitar), it sounds really good.
The sounds are a bit saturated dificil a refgler but the range is standard, a little crunch to the big fat through the typical fender clean, everything is there, but again, the possibilities of the machines are standards ...
I Modre my words though. I found that the distorted sounds n'taient not optimal and I set my complt with no Amp PSA-1. L conmpte I realized you could get much better than the GX. I use virtually no distortion or preamp section.
However for the price, it's still good. But it has aged, it's clear ...

No glitch in the program change.
Only Hics: A bit noisy on very large sound, the lack of transparency when used with an external preamp, a shame to have limited the quality of the converters of the loop.

OVERALL OPINION

I possde 4 years. I just remove it from my set, replaced by a small collection of WLDP .. more transparent and much easier to solve.
Likes: The loop dplacable, the modularity of ease of use, sound, color: o)
I like least: the difficulty set sounds saturated. noise, lack of transparency.

Most effects are available (chorus, delay, reverb, compressor, noise gate, EQ, wah ... etc) as fairly good quality without being transcendent. The technology used is digital hence the coldness and the slurriness when it accumulates too many effects. Editing is not too boring but we've seen better. There is a PC application to set my stuff but I never got it to work. Otherwise the connection is complete, works very well with the controller Behringer FCB1010

UTILIZATION

The setup is a little involved but spending a little time, one quickly masters the craft. &nbsp;Watch out- too many effects will kills the effect, if abused, the sound becomes murky, distant and flat.

SOUND QUALITY

The effects are not too bad but it tends to age badly, the GX 700 has over 10 years and we have better products since. It was also the cold side and digital brand, we can obtain correct results but we must spend time to test all combinations and interactions between them. I use it in the loop of my preamp in small doses and the result satisfies me.

The good effects:
chorus, delay, compressor, noise gate, EQ

The bad effects:
distortion, wah, reverb, preamp to simulation, the HP simulation (ridiculous), the effects on the con (ring modulator, humanizer and other delusions in this genre)

OVERALL OPINION

I have uses it for over 10 years, and not being a big user of effects, it is enough for what I did. The advantage is that it offers in a rack 1U all that is done both for the gain effects and the modulation effects. We also have a programmable loop, handy if you want to insert an external preamp in the chain (which can change the order). The value for money is good considering the price of the equipment secondhand. Okay if you just want to add a little effect, to avoid if you are picky about quality.
