UTILIZATION
- It comes quickly to create their own sounds from a pre-recorded sounds (such presets are also all well pre-set, contrary to what use such a lot of other brands), one can find incredible sounds by changing just the presets, avoiding to spend 3 hours editing effects. Easy to adjust (for basic adjustments, at least)
- The manual is not used at all for the basic settings, for cons it is useful when you want to fiddle with sound depth.
- HEFTY: The pedal is designed to last and endure massive, all-metal ...
- Good point: no amp simulation type copy of this Marshall amp "or" copy of Vox 4 channels but really different (from light to more saturated) and of course configurable at will, which can be sounds very polished, BEGINNING WITH THE SOUND OF HIS OWN AMP (I did not want to have 50 amp simulations, so I love the sound of mine!)
- Small negative point = 3 buttons to full function, it is not always practical for editing effects (my old pedals were kind of an effect button = 1), but you get used quickly once that we know better pedal and editing sounds has become very fast for me.
SOUND QUALITY
The sound quality is up to his reputation to die for!
Well above what I have tested multiple effects, nothing to do with its competitors: it is no longer in the same category!
I play a little Blackheart amp tube with a Start (single coil Lace Sensor) or an Epiphone Wilshire (PAF humbuckers), and although the two very different with this great sounding pedal.
The effects are measured is super professional ... I just regret that on 64 presets, there is a good 50aine distortions (admittedly excellent) and very little sound clear ...
I put 9 because only with more sounds clear pre-recorded, I had more bases from which I published my own sounds clear = I gained a little time, but it's a detail ...
It's really a good place to find, behind the effects, the original sound of his amp, and it is very rare in multi-effects which tend to mask the sound of the amp
Of course you need an amp to correct the magic, if you want to hide a crappy amp with amp simulations in shambles, this is not the pedal for you!
OVERALL OPINION
I use this pedal for 8 months
The sound quality is by far the best I've tested in multi-purpose, really beautiful.
I have owned for ZOOM, BOSS and DIGITECH, and quality ("external and internal) is well above.
160 Euros bought secondhand, it's a great deal. That said you can now find new and at least 230 Euros and even at that price it is well worth the time, even if only for the life of seemingly endless
It is true that the interface is improved (qqes advanced settings not easy to guess without the manual, 3 for 1000 based button that is not always practical either), but we completely forget all the little faults in the first Release notes for this big magic box ...
With experience, I would do this choice with your eyes closed!
