A lot of opportunities, not much to complain about the above.

Ouch. I have it sold after several months, I bought a blindly thinking that it was an evolution of the Intellifex.
Certainly the effects are numerous, but very questionable quality from 4 effects offered by its big brother the Intellifex. It's cold, it sounds digital ... But it's true that you can do many things with it.
Everyone can choose from 11 low-quality effects (the X Pressure), or a few much better effects (Intellifex).

Very good multi-effects

Simple? not really. but this is not a fault it's just that everything is customizable and it takes a while to master before the craft. but once it is done the possibilities are very large. manual and schema are useful. useful to also read the very detailed khronegon here which is a great help advice.

it's very good the effects are of excellent craftsmanship. careful it's not a multi-purpose preamp. so no saturation and minimal amp simulation. I use it with a JMP1 all in a tube amp ampeg govt and it works perfectly.
OVERALL OPINION
For over a year before I had a ToneLab but also electronic g sharp (very good but only two effects simultaneously and much more limited)
what I like the most sound
less is complex but again it is the fault of his qualités.il also lacks a tuner
secondhand
still excellent value for money.
I intend, however, to part with a G major for two more expensive but more complete (it is mainly for the harmonizer)See less22 - sylelectro
very good stuff
Published on 11/29/13 at 01:50 (This content has been automatically translated from French)For fans of noon, perfect, easy programming, delay effects, flanger, compressor, chorus, finally wholes necessary to pretty guitar sound effects.
UTILIZATION
Midi programming is quite simple, and complete.
SOUND QUALITY
very good sound and can addition on the effects as they want, for against the levels of input and output analog settings are not accurate enough for my taste.
OVERALL OPINION
very good reference for effects and good ratio price quality.02 - MGR/chrisw.

Quote: - Are they ditables? Via an editor Mac / PC?
Yes, sr, it would be if grve
For cons, I did not find any graphic editor either Mac or PC.
That said, custom settings are fairly simple to understand to get out relatively easily.

Quote: - What is the connection? (Audio / MIDI)
All there is more classic for this type of bcanne.
2 inputs R (Mono) / L, 2 Outputs R / L, the duo usual MIDI (In & Out / Thru), the taking of power supply 9 Vac/1.5Ampres, and trs INTERESTED, the socket for power supply phantme pdalier noon.
MIDI In connector has indeed a pin 7 pin 5 against usually via cable to power a adquate pdalier twelve o'clock compatible with this standard. It has become more or less a standard on pro hardware, and Rocktron was one of prcurseur.
The principle is simple: Plutt than to lug around the power supply on the pdalier scne, it is left in the rack with the machines. It connects directly to the multi-effects, and the resulting current rises along the MIDI cable, once connected to pdalier, will fuel the latter distance.
Since the MIDI standard has Ralite in need of 5 3-pin to pass its information, both serving the remaining possibly feeding machines, then you just have to add two more pins to be to route the AC / DC current sufficient to run a pdalier.
To see if your pdalier is compatible with this mode of use, you simply take a look at its MIDI OUT. If it has 7 pins, not five, you win.

Quote: - Is this a rack or rack MODEL? In fact, this is a mill cif rack
UTILIZATION

Quote: - The configuration gnrale is it simple? Yes, if this is the story of Numrique / Analog. Another function a little abstract for the mixer. Each effect can indeed be back both in his own paramtrages (level effect) and in the mixer page that could be comparable to an auxiliary table mix. Drout is a bit on this kind of machine.
Another small difficulty: The Xpression has two routing mode: Rotary Classic. The first allows you to use the effect of m ^ m name but prohibits the use of some other effects. Unfortunately, this settings can not be changed by patches and patches is gnral for all presets. This is probably a limitation of computing power that would require a DSP ddi to allow the use of this effect in m ^ m with the other.
So, in this mode, you can not use the Hush, the Comp, EQ, the Speaker-Sim, Delay and Reverb. Too bad, but not trsgnant given the quality of the chorus in Classic mode.

Quote: - The edition of sounds and effects is it easy?
Nothing inevitable when you're used a minimum the use of multi-effects. Except backup mode is sometimes weird in the edition of some parameter. Like, to edit an effect, you can change a parameter, move on and go back to first without prblme, while for others the act of moving to the next without saving the return value is of dpart:? /
Must know that is all.

Quote: - The manual is clear and sufficient? ...
I have been in English since APRS have bought used a AFien, I tried to contact the current distributor of Rocktron Franais, but they no longer had Franais the manual of this product because, they said, he does stop before they rcupre Rocktron the map.
M'fin, nothing that must for a minimum of background in the language of Britney Spears (c - d, 2nd level).
When a small 7 m ^ m for ergonomics gnrale which could have been nicer.
SOUND QUALITY

Quote: - The effects are they effective, suitable and adequate ralistes? If there is one thing to say is Woaou!.
Rocktron the quality (some would say the cold) is not yet envy concurence more CHRE.
The Xpression as the worthy descendant of the Intellifex, it takes the sound quality gnrale.
And we must admit that sounds a good trs.

Quote: - Which instruments do you use?
Ibanez Jem 7DBK, JPM100, SC420F (Fretless), N2 Washburn, Fender Stratocaster US (91), Chris Rea Fender Stratocaster (Mexico), Squier Stratocaster (89) and NB4 Cort Artisan.
My Rocktron Piranha is a prampli and my amplifier is a duet power amplifier monitoring Interm By 2075 Fender 2X12 cabinet Inkel + "in Mount Yamaha speakers.
All original and Mount bnficier for a law and its hyper-neutral amplification and so does color the sound with the pramp and effects.

Quote: - What are those you prfrez, you dtest? I love them all, especially the Hush, the Reverb and chorus are, with the Delay ones I use most.
But they are all worthy of intertm um if I use them more timely.

Quote: - How long have you use it?
It must be Submitted about 4 or 5 months. I use it every day because I give my classes above.

Quote: - What is the particular feature you like best and least?
Most? .. .. I would say its power. The effects are quite paramtrable profondment.
The least? .. .. .. .. .. ... ... Ben ... I do not know. May be a small fault that I am a victim quite often. The EPROM lgrement appears to disconnect quite easily. As a result, has an error message m'occasionne ignition and a somewhat erratic behavior of its kind, over MIDI and mapping of all Kabbalistic caratres chelou place names for input I my preset ..
M'fin, trs grve it's really not, I just have to take the time one of these four to open the hood to put the EPROM in place and possibly to make sure he will not move more

Quote: - Have you tried many other models before acqurir?
For personal, I've had several DIFFERENT. He followed me the most silent one GT-5. But since I t vendor guitar shop, I actually had the opportunity to test some ... yes
That said, currently waiting for my Xpression impatiement supports the GT-Pro that I ordered but which is unfortunately not yet arrived in France :-(
With 3 effects loops, it should eventually bring me the flexibility I'm looking for total years of marriage in Contents of my pedals and my effects rack

Probably yes. M ^ m if I admit to being somewhat hsit with the purchase of a secondhand Intellifex but a little more chr. But I do not regret my choice.
