Characteristics that motivated my choice:
* 10 entries in full duplex (2 mic preamps, two more than 4 dB, the other six will go through a table to be of a compatible microphone jack)
* The price ....
* Firewire: what we can say that we want c practice is top ... and it works perfect!
* Headphone volume with front ... detail but a very very practical, high quality!
* Solid, c not made in plastic!
use:
* Homestudio and taken to a live band. Basically, I make the audio, very few mid-day
config:
* A config grandpa ... lol: W xp pro, amd 1.2GHz proc, 512 ram, firewire card pci expansion (and even with an NEC chipset ... it works!) Attention, this PC has only serves the music ... nothing else on it, no internet, no firewall and all that crap. PC dedicated home studio!
instruments:
* Mostly guitar, bass, and microphone. Using the pod XT
UTILIZATION
Install:
if you follow the manual and that we try not to make Tarzan himself, install the top is simple, no pb with my PC even in 1914!
incompatibility: no
config: easy you die! it is sufficient to have a firewire or on its motherboard, or, like me, for PCI
Manual: clear enough, but in English. Those who do not understand the English can suffer!
GETTING STARTED
Stab the drivers: this is m ... Always uneasy Bin there, bravo Edirol. Finally a card that installs and s does not crash! ca reassuring! excellent for this card

Software used: logic 5.1, acid pro 4, sound forge 7, plugging (waves, ozone, Track, ....)
Latency I uncheck "Software monitoring" ... lol, how ca ... but 0 0 latency effects for the catch (jmen tape effects during recording)
# of Simultaneous tracks: 10. Tried and approved.
OVERALL OPINION
I've had the 1 month
The particularity - liked:
* No software to manage the input-output volumes. C is very annoying that, you have to go through the sequencer.
* And how I made for MIDI? lol ... j I need just the click and nothing comes out ?.... (Ps: top jsuis zero noon!)
* I shall have like 10 preamp, mdrrr, the price would change!
other cards tested: the maximum isis ... lol, I am ashamed!
value for money: top!
I do it again this choice yes!
I put that 7 because of the soft abcence to manage the in / out! there, edirol fears a little anyway!
