The power via the FireWire bus is important for a mobile solution.
I use it to record keyboards, control virtual instruments.
PC 700 and Athlon 1.2 Ghz G4 iBook
Nordlead2, Akai Z8, Tc reverb, Mackie CFX12, A90.

UTILIZATION

Ok install (read the manual)
The manual is on CD in pdf and in French version
The manual is important for the routing capabilities of the card, I have not had the courage to read it.
However I was able to put the music away for free after installation probmmes rglages or tedious.

GETTING STARTED

For now Under Reason Adapted (supplied with the card) no problem
Logic Audio is no problem
Sound Forge a few cracks that have disappeared by configuring.

The drivers are ultra stable

Some problems with OS X 10.3.3 to 10.3.4 have been rsorbs but also big problems with spdif port (For the PC against c ulltra stable ....... hallucinating)

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 6 months
I love the sound!! (Converters are transparent !!!!!)
SETTING THE I like the card by the audio interface software, and yes the knobs on the map can be rotated an infinite (I do not know how to say but you get??)
I tried the front USB audiophile, the comparison is ridiculous, the price difference also:
