For recording studio, live and play.
I use a MacBook, 2GB ram, and the program Ableton Live mainly.

This is my first FW card.

OVERALL OPINION

Most of the card:

- The sound ... how to say ... I had an Echo Layla 3G card before. I would not say it's day and night but it is clear that TC is very high with this card. Acute detailed, full and round bass, I discover things that I missed with my previous card.

- The driver, the user interface of the software involved - now ended - a ergonomics competition in the price range.
The driver is damn well thought out, works seamlessly in the background and is totally stable in its latest version (even BETA)

- The quality of integrated plugs, associated with the preamp, it has a pair of strips of quality TC.

For the price, it buries everything I've experienced so far then yes without hesitation, I would do this choice.

With Traktor Pro, I get a latency of 5.5 ms, an impressive stability and sound

About the effects: Fabrik C is built on the basis of the algorithm MD3 System 6000 platforms, Pro Tools and PowerCore. The interface and options are diffrent, but the audio quality is the same.
Fabrik R as it is based on the algorithm Rev4 directly implanted into Reverb4000. Trs the high end.



UTILIZATION

OVERALL OPINION

First, the sound of the Konnekt Live trs is clean and dynamic. It seems even to have gained wide spectrum from my Previous interfaces. It's amazing how my dernire interface, Motu, Submitted artifacts, breath that the compartment. Converters seems truly exceptional.

For effects, is to have the high end, with ergonomics that should be a beginners. I say without being a pjoratif. I have a Kurzweil with excellent rverbrations, live and Fabrik R is placed at least at the same level or above. There are more in the algos Konnekt Live from the 24d, with a spring reverb really nice.

The Fabrik C channel strip, which can be placed in output mix (the Konnekt 24D does not have this option), I become essential for live. I have a Mac, and two keyboards connected to it, with Fabrik C exit agt Finalizer like a light, allows me to bring my levels for concerts. The compressor is trs musical, but requires a little getting used to for those accustomed to working with conventional controls. Again, excellent ergonomics enables us to arrive quickly to treatment trs wish.

I use the tuner for my little Moog branch above, although ractif usable standalone. Luis I put in a nice little insert rverbe (I also delays of AIM, but hey ...). And in addition the DSP can allger PC processor: the effects are usable Plugins! For information, Fabrik C and Fabrik R for the PowerCore platform is $ 350 each. When you see the price of the interface, there is no competition. And there are effects that come with bonus native! The Konnekt Live agt as dongle.

Soundcard comprehensive look at the 'black' formidable but a little complex ...

I experience it for 3 years in Live and Home Studio and I do not want to change for now.
