It's true that it is built like a gadget ... I too was very disappointed when I received.
But it sounds well and there is no equivalent in the price game. Regarding problems of digital recordings, it is a little grater ... The new drivers in December 2006 works for me with XP/SP2 and Cubase SX 3.
I will note the way because of the construction really too cheap.

3-band EQ for each.
Intgre effects section, but not taken into account in multitrack recording.
Sampling supposed to go up in 24-bit 48000Hz, but for now I do not go russi del 44100Hz 16 bit recording with squenceur provided.
Included an installation CD with drivers (Windows and Mac OS) and Cubase LE.

UTILIZATION

Premire is my mixer, and before I had ever come close to trs prs.
I use it for multitrack recording in Cubase.
The grip is quite simple, just look at it with a semblance of logic.
Everything is accessible.
The manual is in English, just a quick start guide in French that it is always advisable to read but is trs brief (5 pages small, not really saturated info).

SOUNDS

Same happens when the console a bit of breath when you start bringing the gain and volume limit, but it is rare to get this, especially when there has been a battery or a guitar amp properly pushed.
The equalizer is okay, but not amazing either. Let's say that a can be used.

OVERALL OPINION

I bought it in December 2006 but I REALLY use since June 2007.
What I like most:
- The number of tracks available
- The simplicity of use
What I like least:
- Drivers trs unstable backgrounds, and some updates, I fix on the December 2006 drivers who pose no problem at the squenceur hachurent but the sound when I try to use it in soundcard, especially when I play a video.
- Cubase LE 1.0.8, which, despite being supplied with a table 16 tracks, only to record that ... 4 tracks simultaneously. A call of foutage of mouth. Especially when one knows that other models from home with only Alesis Stereo main mix output comes with a version of Cubase LE, which has no limit of number track simultaneous recording.
The ratio quality price is right, even if it is prvoir possibly buying a license Cubase worthy of the name.
With exprience, I'm happy with the hardware. Less happy, however, part of the drivers / software that lets frankly DSIR.
