i cannot for the life of me figure out to monitor OR playback midi input.

i have been using my saffire to record external audio for a while now but i wish to sell my soul and start making some electronica but dont know the first thing about midi.

i would like to thank in advance anyone who takes the time to help me out.

If this is in the wrong forum, then by all means say so.

If this forum isnt technically proficient enough to answer this simple question then i'd be glad to take it somewhere they know what they're talking about.
