I use a MacPro 1,1 with Snow Leopard and have run into an issue...
I recently transferred everything over to this computer using Time Machine. The thing is that the computer is EXACTLY the same model as the previous one. Yet, when I try to run Mix Control, it crashes. Now, I've done everything I am supposedly supposed to do.
I've deleted the file
"Mac HD > Library > Preferences > Saffire.startup"
I've done a clean uninstall by deleting these files...
Macintosh HD/Applications/Saffire MixControl.app
Macintosh HD/System/Library/Extensions/Saffire.kext
Macintosh HD/Library/Startup Items/Saffire/.*
Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Saffire/.*
Macintosh HD/Library/Audio/MIDI Drivers/SaffireMIDIDriver.plugin
Macintosh HD/Users/[yourusername]/Library/Application Support/Focusrite/.*
Macintosh HD/Library/Receipts/Install Saffire MixControl.pkg
...disconnecting my hardware, restarting my computer, and then installing the latest version of Mix Control.
I say that but, when deleting, some files were already missing and some files never showed up after installation...
Macintosh HD/Library/Startup Items/Saffire/.
Macintosh HD/Users/[yourusername]/Library/Application Support/Focusrite/.
Macintosh HD/Library/Receipts/Install Saffire MixControl.pkg
I erased all of the other accounts on the computer and I unplugged all other firewire devices from my computer but still no luck.
Does anyone have an idea as to what I should do?
Thanks!
