Thread Focusrite Saffire Pro 14 - Audio Dropouts/Losing LKD light?

Hello,

I have a Focusrite Saffire pro 14 Interface which I'm currently using with a Mac Mini.

I have set my Mac Mini's Audio output to the Saffire via firewire and I have an RCA cable connecting a SPDIF out into my Anologue Hi-Fi amp that my speakers are connected to..

I'm having a problem where the LKD light and sometimes the FW light drop out and any audio playing cuts out until the lights return.

I am using it Bus powered via a FireWire 800 Port on my Mac, Could this be a cause? The power light remains on at all times, even with the dropouts occuring, so I can't see why I should need a PSU for it..

Why would te FireWire and Sync Status be tempermental with audio routed to the Interface?
