Behringer X V-Amp

I was just wondering on ebay for multi-effects (as I don't like to pay too much bucks for lone effects and have no six feet to switch at once all) when I found this Behringer with very impressive price/performance ratio. After having read the online manual I decided to get one. For a total of 70$ (incl. shipping) I got it.

I has a wide variety of sounds and effects (no need to list them - check the website). You can easily make yourself a desirable sound. Built in expression pedal is programable so you can add some extra to you effects onstage. That's all and that's enough!

Bad news it takes some minutes to switch from a preset to the other! I wonder it were the same on the pro version?
The factory presets are mainly useless but you can fine tune them to suit. The expression pedal doesn't really work in volume mode as a good volume pedal.

The plastic case won't last long for a guitar-crasher heavy band. Don't use it in dim condition because won't be able to read the second functions.

Handy good tool if you don't want to carry a bag full of effects but want to use many. Not professional but worthy for it price. Only for patient on stage users!
I'm thinking of upgrading for the pro (if it could switch at once) for more versatile preset reaching and external effect control.

You get everything you need in a compact footboard housing. Everything is very basic and plug and play. Guitar, X V-amp, phones/amp/hifi system and that's it.

UTILIZATION

Very easy to use if you read the manual. Editing sounds is not as easy and fast as with several dedicated stompboxes, but you can get a good result if you take the time. And unlike a pedalboard, you don't lose your settings unintentionally!

SOUND QUALITY

Good effects, considering the price. Especially the reverb, modulation and pitch effects. Of course, the simulations are not very faithful but they do sound similar... From clean to high gain over crunch, you get everything. There is a one second latency (no signal) when you recall another simulation. The problem can be easily solved by creating two presets using the same amp but different gain settings. And who changes the amp during a song?

OVERALL OPINION

I've been using it for one year. I'm very satisfied.

The things I like most:
+ Value for money More than unbeatable: incredible...
+ Endless possibilities Spend enough time with the device and you'll be able to do anything.
+ The gain/volume/expression pedal.

The things I like least:
- Construction quality. Don't get too wild with it!
- One-second signal drop-off when you change simulations (can be easily solved).

If it gets broken tomorrow, I would buy it again. You can certainly find better products (from Line6, for example) but they are much more expensive.

I know, I know, (as said Jean Gabin!) Since it is cheap, has nothing worth ..... AND FALSE FALSE ARCHI .. Lots of amps and effects more or less imits! because it is the purpose of this xvamp. Mission SUCCESSFUL .. (more compact version of the v-RVISE amp2) again, behringer knows very well about it, and see the cream of guitarist before producing this small pedalboard .... and user-friendly manual is not afraid to mention all the brands imitate ... the only of its kind. USE

16 amp + speakers of legend, as many pedals, and 100 preset! Presets each has a sound totally diffrent!
