UTILIZATION
Very simple configuration, a volume knob, a knob for gain, an equalizer two bands (Low and High).
I never had the manual.
Editing effects could not be easier.
SOUND QUALITY
The distortion in a strong personality, it sounds oddly, more like an overdrive pushed hard but its dry and precise, the distortion is not fat; Also it has less gain than most current distos see overdrives present.
In fact I think this is because, as the DS-1, it was designed to boost the already saturated channel amps and not to sound good on a clean channel like most modern distos. She is very strong push for the sound of his gear overdrive channel upstream of an amp or pedal overdrive / distortion modern ... a bit in the manner of a TS808 but with more gain.
