I got this distortion unit at my guitar store and i paid about US$110 for it and it was a pretty good deal for a unit that packs this much power. I got it because I needed a good distortion tone... I honestly never expected it was going to turn out to pack the most monster distortion ever.



It holds and delivers a great dstortion sound... absolutely a great tone. It is clear and sharp and you can get almost any distortion sound with it. Any metalhead (including myself) would fall in love with this pedal coz you can play real metal through it, like KoRn, Limp Bizkit, METALLICA and all that heavy crap. Bass, Treble, Mid, MidFreq... all included and works well.



Nothing... i have played it through bigger amps than what i have and the sound and quality of the pedal is still there.



It would be able to get thrown off a building and still stay in one piece. I have dropped, stomped and thrown(don't ask why) it and it still works...



If you have a small budget and crave for a monster tone, this is THE pedal... it can't get any better.

I bought this for 130.00 at LA Hilton's because I love BOSS and I needed a really diverse, quality distortion pedal.



Great quality. BOSS is the master of quality. This distortion unit can model almost any kind of distortion that you could ever need or want. And it's a tough pedal, it can take time and abuse. And since this pedal is from BOSS, you know the distortion effect quality is top-of-the line. Sometimes, when I play, I think it sounds just about studio quality. Great distortion pedal all around. No doubt about it.



The price. Even though this pedal is worth every penny you pay for it, I think 130 bucks is a bit high.


Metal casing, heavy. Very durable. I have many friends who use BOSS stomp boxes and they have had them for years and they abuse them like crazy and the pedals are still in prime working condition.


Although the price is a bit high, you cant go wrong with this pedal. In my opinion, you cant go wrong with BOSS period!


The only thing i can see wrong with this pedal is the price. Other than that, it's a perfect pedal.

Good distortion with different parameters, an equalizer that makes sense.

UTILIZATION

Simple, no mind work but as always we must spend some time on history to find a good sound and the ultimate configuration. Why there's a bit while turning in all directions.

SOUND QUALITY

Levels of sound quality, it's okay, not too much wind, the quality of the distortion is good. You can have multiple sounds nice and good quality.

OVERALL OPINION

Overall for someone looking for a distortion not too expensive well made it is a good compromise. There is not enough to break three legs of a duck, but still. I use it everyday and I'm pretty happy.

UTILIZATION

I had left out by focusing on POD XT ... I re-used at the moment with a head Blackstar HT5 (on the clean channel) and I must say it is a return to bluffing. It allows me to have a third channel.
It is very easy to sculpt the sound with four crowns to dig or not mediums, shake out the serious or harmonics.
Level at 10 - Disto at noon than it drips too and a lot of possibilities with the equalization: Judas Priest to Rammstein through AC / DC ACCEPT.

SOUND QUALITY

If you like the Hard and Heavy 80 90 years, it's a must-pedal.

Saturations must love with a big bass presence, of course ...
Only thing a bit annoying: sound pretty cold.

OVERALL OPINION

A very good pedal in both manufacturing (robust, reliable, good looks) and the sound.

It's been over 5 years I have the lugs around, and frankly it's worth it.
A little expensive at the time (700 bullets pr + 200F AC adapter required), his choice

The only recommendation is to attach the pedals a "noise gate" especially for those who use amps dnt infrieure power is 100 W (the trs Larcen happens quickly).

The advantage is that you can play on any amp and get the same sound (has something ready of course) /

OVERALL OPINION

I use the pedals for 7 or 8 years. I stop scratching pdt 4 years, and when I returned, I found nothing better than the pedals, so I have redeemed.
I tried pdaliers numriques but nothing., MT2 power.

report quality price, the price does not drop bcp since I know the pedals (I think that says a bcp on quality.

for all rfractaires, try the slightly longer (if you play from 5150, mesa dual or stuff like a) and you will see that it can DGIG power. I'm glad to see that other 'advice givers' agree that this is a very good pedals ....

Metal style distortion pedal (Metal Zone MT =)
- A knob volume (output volume, not affect the texture of the distortion, excellent for a large volume trs low distortion, parents apprcient 2:00 AM)

UTILIZATION

Could not be more simple: you plug, you play.

SOUND QUALITY

East is metal. Difficult to get a crunch-type lamp with the pedals (ct go of the SansAmp GT2 for a)
on the other hand, it sounds from hell (large distortion, lots of bass) even on a toaster 10W.

I bought a guitar when I started (13 years ago), then resold (Error !!!!!)
I then purchased another 6-8 years ago now. For obrtenir a big distortion (even on a marshall transistor is to say!) The pedals is impeccable.

This pedal has two knobs singles and 2 doubles.

_ A level (volume).

_ Four Equalizer: High / Low and Middle / Mid Freq.

_ A Dist (to assay the effect).

Connectivity classic Jack and battery (attention: A change often) or 9V jack.

I put 10 because this pedal is, my time, damn good and the settings can easily get what you want.

I call it the neck is made of metal it can stand the shock: It's solid!

UTILIZATION

I is not got the manual and in any case I do not think it's useful if you know what you want.

The equalization of this pedal is great, every knob is sensitive and has just turned one feels directly the difference.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 6 months.

At the very beginning I had a Behringer UM100: NOTHING TO DO!
After jsuis go on my Valveking but soon the lead channel was not enough.
When the Boss in hand (or rather feet) I was playing more with the clean channel + pedal.
Now I use it less because I have a head that does not need (and not with the breath I imagine that) but I keep it because it helps out on other amps.

_ Reliability: I do not know anyone who brought him back in service and then it's Boss ...

Cons:
_ The breath but easily correctable (I invests in NS-2: 90E).
_ The sound a little less natural that amp (have to feel what)

If I had to redo this choice, even new, I remake (if I had not my new amp) because it is worth the money, nothing like the Behringer and it is those who sound the note of 9 .
