I purchased an entire Nam Danelectro package via e-bay last year...I had to because I'm a vampire and always get the good deals when the auctions end around 4:00pacific time...at any rate..that deal came with an assortment of Danelectro's best pedals...but it was missing something...overdrive!!!

I was just in a new music store and saw this unit sitting all by it's lonesome...so I bought it..with out even trying it...It was selling for half of the MSRP.

So I went home and tried out the pedal...it just was the missing link I needed...and it sounded great...I play the effect with an American Nashville 5 switch Tele and a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe... 2 words - It rocked.

The smash box itself...is really durable...the controls are very simple...which I think is a good thing...as I honestly can't play 100% sober...have to have a few cold ones...and sometimes it's very nice to have things simplified rather than trying to launch the NASA challenger from one of those run 10 effects in real time deals...

Solid steel...very durable.

Final thoughts...everyone has their own sound...and I just gave the danelectro a go..as I am really a "BOSS" player...but for the price...it really does the job...if you complain...you have to be one of those cats who claims they can hear a g strin bend when you play a Am or something...meaning you have ears like a peruvian bat...but for all the rest of you normal cats...it can't do you no wrong.
