Danelectro Fab Tone
Published on 01/10/04 at 15:00I bought it off ebay for 25 bucks
I love the incredible punch and tone it puts out, I've been using it for over a year and its amazing.
This is probably caused from the past owner but I had to re-soder the peice that grabs onto the ac adaptor because if it wasnt completely level there would be a horrible connection and mess with me.
the construction is road worthy, hard-ass casing, the knobs are easy to take off but eh.
If its the best deal around, take it, brand new it should rip for years to come

Danelectro Fab Tone
Published on 12/29/02 at 15:00I purchased an entire Nam Danelectro package via e-bay last year...I had to because I'm a vampire and always get the good deals when the auctions end around 4:00pacific time...at any rate..that deal came with an assortment of Danelectro's best pedals...but it was missing something...overdrive!!!
I was just in a new music store and saw this unit sitting all by it's lonesome...so I bought it..with out even trying it...It was selling for half of the MSRP.
So I went home and tried out the pedal...it just was the missing link I needed...and it sounded great...I play the effect with an American Nashville 5 switch Tele and a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe... 2 words - It rocked.
The smash box...…

The smash box itself...is really durable...the controls are very simple...which I think is a good thing...as I honestly can't play 100% sober...have to have a few cold ones...and sometimes it's very nice to have things simplified rather than trying to launch the NASA challenger from one of those run 10 effects in real time deals...
Solid steel...very durable.
Final thoughts...everyone has their own sound...and I just gave the danelectro a go..as I am really a "BOSS" player...but for the price...it really does the job...if you complain...you have to be one of those cats who claims they can hear a g strin bend when you play a Am or something...meaning you have ears like a peruvian bat...but for all the rest of you normal cats...it can't do you no wrong.

Danelectro Fab Tone
Published on 11/17/02 at 15:00I Bought the fab tone from AMS for about fifty dollars. I liked the way it looked and some people told me it was a good pedal to own.
Iliked the way it looked and that was about all.
This thing is a piece of junk! I figured with a name like Fab Tone it was geared towards guitarist looking for a great distortion tone. But when I played though it the distortion overpowered everything even when the distortion knob was turned all the way down. It also came with different settings to emulate different distortion sounds. They all sounded the same, either too much high-end or not enough there is no middle ground for any of the settings.
It is contructed well, and it looks great I guess I...…

It is contructed well, and it looks great I guess I could mount it on my wall or something. It also eats batteries and the sound gets even worse when the batteries are low. The adapter is a must.
This pedal sucks don't buy it!

Danelectro Fab Tone
Published on 10/03/01 at 15:00I bought this ay my local music shop for 80 bucks NZ. It would usually be about 200 bucks but i got it cheap.
Light nirvana bleach style to hardout Smashing Pumpkins style. It look's good and sounds good. When you crank up the Dist. and Treb. it supplies high power distortion for hardout Billy Corgan style solo's. Excelent pedal. Good colour scheme.
Nothing.
Hardout strongness and wickedly thick die-cast body. Good metal and rubber bottom.
Excelent pedal for people on the road. Good for just about every style of music. Great durability.
