All user reviews for the Electro-Harmonix Deluxe Electric Mistress
Using the Electro-Harmonix Deluxe Electric Mistress is quite easy as it only has three parameters - one for color, one for range, and one for rate. Even though there are a limited number of parameters, since they are all such extreme parameters you can still get a huge variety of tones from this pedal and when you add in the filter matrix it takes this to a new level. I never had any problems getting this pedal to do what I wanted it to do and for this reason I never had a need to look at a manual.
This is definitely one of the better sounding flanger pedals that I have used for a number of reasons. The first reason is that all of the sounds that you get with this pedal are extremely organic and 'analog' sounding. The next reason is that it is diverse and you can get all sorts of cool sounds - sometimes I'll get a tone that I didn't even know it was capable of! I use this pedal for recording usually with a Fender Strat and a '76 Fender Twin Reverb or Fender Deluxe Reverb and I'm always happy with the flanging and filter tones I get.
For a variety of reasons I would definitely recommend the Electro-Harmonix Deluxe Electric Mistress if you are looking for an awesome flanger pedal. While this isn't as cheap as the Boss flanger pedals, it will sounds better and is capable of more variety in terms of tone. The price isn't even all that expensive for an Electro Harmonix pedal of this nature. This is definitely one of my favorite flanger pedals that is currently on the market.

YES it is a flanger not dash of AIRBUS
So the effects are not magic GPs !!!
heat velvet sound magic alone flanger I found warm sound
great with a guitar how one can not put a canvas such an effect Mr Manuk not confuse an effect not suited its needs and a bad effect !!! It's like I took it a vintage burgundy to make a moog perceived to illuminate a stadium !!!
go! a canvas for LED moog but then it's really shit !!! the Electric Mistress is a REFERENCE !!! we like it or not you need it or not ... need not overlooking your bass? ok say it in a forum! But when we do not know we do not give an opinion on audiofanzine!
always! I tried everything it is that which has the most personality breath included!
the price? ha c'tait cheaper when n'tait more fashionable but still worth its taken the darn !!!

manuk's review (This content has been automatically translated from French)" disappointing in low"
24 V power supply provided
I only tested on low and I found it pretty mediocre, he eats very little serious not add a lot of background noise especially with high color
the effect is quite small in comparison with the BF-2B and an old boss Ross R-60. modulation applies to higher frequencies and not serious as the two aforementioned models. I have not found all the Ross sound palette that gives more in severe and goes away with resonance. filter matrix effect is not bad but I'm getting there with the boss with the spleen minimum.La modulation is shallower and warmer than on ross R-60, however, the rate can go faster but I do not have too much use ... So very disappointed and returned to the store within 24 hours ...
I tested an hour compared to my two favorite Flanger Boss BF_2B and Ross R-60.Malgré what I've read, I do not find it at all adapted to low, if you are bassist go your way, there are better and cheaper OCCAZ (Boss BF-2B). My opinion does not apply of course to the bottom, I do not judge the guitar for which he is certainly looking magnifique.Je a replacement for my old R-60, we will have to look elsewhere ...

Flanger fall to the ground but not convinced by the MATRIX effect, never used in 25 years.
Easy configuration for analog color, range, rate <=> intensitbalayage / speed.
outputs Wet / Dry.
Many possibilities, but as prcedemment said, because "Filter Matrix" trs quickly forgotten because without intrt, I think ..
The effect is more than helpful and takes us back in a few DCEN rear. I play the soldering iron to hold it in the state, so average reliability, but Status Quo / Whatever you want, and many others are you with the pedals
I did not intend to sell it, despite its reliability dlicate. A Must Have for me.

marsupio37's review (This content has been automatically translated from French)" What sound!"
The pedal also has a filter matrix which can freeze the flanger and the work manually.
The only thing missing is a small LED indicating whether effect is activated or not.
The use of this pedal is very simple. Three knobs, each with its own function and PI's it!
Must not be removed from Saint-Cyr!
Personally, I find the sound very good because on the one hand, the input signal is respected, not as Polychorus ..., and also the effect is truly magnificent.
Even if the pedal has only three parameters, it is possible to make a light and discreet flanger flanger to a super sound caused twisting (color and range in depth and slow rate).
Put this flanger and a relatively short time on a drum machine is very effective ...
I put 9 in order not to 10 ....
I love this pedal (pretty impressive in view of the number of knobs ...), the sound it delivers is enormous. I am very satisfied.
I have owned the Polychorus (very nice) and I was quite disappointed because non-transparent and flanger pretty average, but that's a matter of taste ....

vintage look in the series of EHX big box. This one a little dull, colorless
Really beautiful, warm, deep, seductive.
. intensity of effect.
. sound quality
. a second mode
. modulation tends to eat a little bit about your sound (set to "blend" would be welcome)

entièrment analog pedal, and "true bypass" when off.
Note max, knowing what you want. (Obviously not programmable, but given the type of object, I would not account for the note)
Pretty simple to use. There is one thing that gives excellent results:
Put the two settings "range" and "color" to zero, and use the setting "rate" only.
to 09h. : Fine, not too strong, but super wide ...
to 12. : Standard ... if you add color and range, the same level (knob at noon) is the flanger type, so "before going into the intricacies, dear students, here is the type of flanger")
to 15h. : Almost a vibrato, then, must be adjusted, it is played with a few millimeters to be perceived as great or else frankly unusable ...
Efficient, beautiful (it sounds cutesy words like that, but it is also a part of the goal, right?)
with guitar great (Time, on the dark side of the Moon Pink Floyd, if he has not done with it, bin it with a copy of this ...)
on keyboards: can advantageously replace nick leslie effects of integrated current machines. organ sounds on the go "dry" through this thing in llive is quite efficient. And it remains intelligible.
Oh sorry, just to get an idea. config I use: Gibson Howard Roberts, peavey classic 30 fitted with Celestion Vintage 30. Effects: Maxon OD9 it flangeEH intelliphase-Akai-delay MXR Carbon Copy.
Well, I explain why I put around 10 (I know, this may not really be objective, this paper). then here: I had made up his mind to move to multi-purpose. And I tried, multi-effects. Boss, Roland, Vox, Digitech, Line6, and without it being bad, every time the same scenario: some awesome presets, then after, we want to do it yourself, to find sounds or sensations that obtained with analog pedals .. and niet! Paskeu I do not know how? Paskeu is not possible, said in an outburst of honesty the man the store.
He sums up: lots of sounds: multi FX. The sound, keep your pedals!
- Used for 2 years
- The +: the sound. and respect for the signal when not in use. And the Son.
- The -: it is ... big. not cool, when we talk pedal to organize.
- Yes, some are good too, but still analog. And I swear it's not nostalgia, it's listening.
- Q / P: expensive for a single purpose. But really cheap, if it solves the problem once and for all ...
- Not necessarily, but nothing to do with the quality of the effect. it's just that I spend a period of "down with FX Modulation, long live the direct sound." As a result, flangers, phasers and other chorus, boaâfff ...
In short: it sounds. And all the gadgets are useless if it lacks this aspect.
PS: Personal opinion and bias, assumed. if you disagree, that's all OK.

Topprog's review (This content has been automatically translated from French)
That the old, so, ah ah!
Apparently the much sought after analog flanger to the coast to the Argus. I do not really remember most of the original price was just not in euros, that I still remember it!
a good point: the power supply, thus avoiding to buy a transformer, we see more things these days my dear lady!
9, because the live analog!
The manual is long gone, but good as any analog pedal, no need to read .....
9, because there's nothing else to say!
Then there ....... It's really great on the water of an old Korg analog, but now it's all integrated as I do not see the point would have a keyboard player to acquire the object.
For the guitar is a bit frustrating, and I must say that it is used sparingly: very well when playing arpeggios of prog 'style of early Genesis, or the rhythmic sound clear. This is complicated a little solo, one is quickly in his Van Halen, there's no doubt, but get tired quickly, because it stains very metallic sound wave is not easy to master. I use the three knobs stuck on 13.00 for me is the best sound. Previous position on the effect is not very clear and then you come by against a soon to her aquatic style Flipper!
A good old pedal reputation and very strong. Certainly not essential, any more than a phasing-but interesting all the same with this unique sound. Use it wisely and sparingly on pain of tired and the bublic .... yourself!
9, because it's emotional last 30 years we are together!

Analog, they are bagpipes which date back to the 70/80.
Editable? Yes with buttons.
It is a PDAL, not rack.
I aps manual, no need, turn the knobs.
The edition of her is easy.
It's a good old pedals for guitarists who have less neurons than fingers!
The sound of the flanger is really old school. This is not the coldness of flanger Cure (prfrez an ibanez or at worst a boss for this type of sound). This is a flanger fat. Mine are tun little "dirty" she drools a little when typing large bass or agreements flange deep, but it's really happy. It uses the flange Hendrix.
You have to love ... I love it.
I have since ... Long!
The best: simple, probably in strong. Adaptor with a catch, but that does not intgre.
The least: She drools a little dan the bass, but it is not done to be played with a bass.
Report quality price: difficult to say, this vintage is no longer sold. I'd say it's a matter of taste. L'argus me parat not too expensive, because it is a collector's item, trs endearing.
I would do this election ... if I n'tais not so broke.

ManuM5's review (This content has been automatically translated from French)
Big advantage, the pedals can be connected directly to the mains.
There's more that connect.
Nothing is easier to use, I have no instructions with it, but it is easy to find the sound that goes well.
The only thing is that teachers are no LED to see if the effect is active or blow can be Gnant in concert, which is not my case but I will find a way to install one. It's more convenient.
In terms of sound against the top is dlicieux, natural and warm. When you love the analog sound is the top. It is easy to find rglages, for my part is all in the middle that was best for me.
Clearly as the crunch effect is saturated or both Submitted and discreet and gives a beautiful color.
Well, a breath a little, but it is analog.
I use it recently, I wanted one, and I do not regret it. This is an opportunity, it has a few hours, but the sound is is for me the flanger.
The price is trs reasonable opportunity just be patient.
I would do this choice without a shadow of a hsitation.
