UTILIZATION

Very easy to use, even if the manual is in English or German we come to understand the trs CHARACTERISTICS of bte.

SOUNDS

I use it with a pramp ENGL 580, a G major and EQ paramtrique ... and this amp, not only faithfully reproduces the sound of my pramp, but I even feel that beautifies the sound!
Each note jou is pure pleasure with happiness.
I'm not an expert in sound, but it's 15 years I have itches and I've never heard a sound as pure!
In addition, SETTING THE prsence are trs lens and really allow a broad spectrum of rglage sound.
I play thrash gnral mtal and heavy, but also blue, rock, jazz etc ...
and whatever the style or sound used a ring!

OVERALL OPINION

I use it now for 15 days, this amp sounds really surprised me, and every point of view, the only thing I fear is that it is not enough power (2x50 watts) live to cover a battery!
Well I was wrong, I have used in mono (ie 1x50 watt) in concert, and I covered much the battery and in addition it does not sound dnatur me for a penny! and this is just 1 / 4 volume!
In addition we feel that it's rib, I Lorqui rule we feel that the volume buttons are solid and will not stay in my fingers!

Little longer so, when applied it is lit DGIG Lumire a red light every lamp, giving a beautiful cot amp.

UTILIZATION

Super simple setup and effective.
Being able to have two settings of presence and volume cannal allows me to keep my settings (volume quite formidable) to my recordings in another room, and you can play more relaxed when I want.

The sound is a killer. At first, I used a Peavey 5150 head, and later his power line, I thought it was terrible at the time. I then tried two generations of 2U Peavey 50/50, its already formidable. The Engl is definitely over, the sound is rich Armon, the grain of the preamp which it is coupled is now not aggressive ... excellent.

Ideal for all types of music, preferably to the music probably more saturated (Heavy, Death Metal ...)

After the tour of my friends for information, the amps listed for comparison were tested with a TriAxis coupled to a G-Major, with two different Ada MP-1 (one modified), a pyran and is a VooduValve Line. In any case, it is absolutely dreadful with a preference in my opinion for the Ada changed and strangely VooduValve (the VooduValve is nice to listen directly to the cabinet, but pretty bad when recording with micro - very cold and aggressive -), with 840/50 super Engl.

Update: I now have a 570, and coupled to 840/50, it is by far the most extraordinary config I had. (Personal opinion only ...: after 6 years of Triax with different config amp high-end, I find that this set Engl kills Mesa both sound clear, crystalline, warm ... as distortion, different grain, but lower register better defined, less and less runny boiled, sliced ​​more!)

Level guitars, microphones with test assets and liabilities (Jackson Kelly Us, Ibanez 540FM, ESP ...).

The sound is in any case very steep (especially with active pickups), but I think this just more of that preamp of the amp.

The dynamics are impressive. (Test with Marshall cabinet 800 4 * 12 with Vintage 50 Celetti, Marshall 1960A speaker cabinet, and cabinet ENGL Vintage 2 * 12)

OVERALL OPINION

Used for 2 months.
Purchased less than € 1000 new at Thomann.
Excellent value, a slap to Peavey and Mesa. Compare this with the VHT ...

I play with an Ibanez 540FM micro seymour SH4, Rokctron vudoo valve, baffle, and pod XT pro
ENGL E212VH.

(Perfectly suits the speaker).

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for a week, and it is a pure joy!
What I like? Versatility, simpicit look (nice Lumire the red comes from the indoor).
Before I had a head Marshall JMP MkII not good for my use, the it's heaven.
trs good price quality ratio I think, less than in 1000 Thoman including shipping, this quality ...
Without hsiter I remake that choice.

UTILIZATION

My config: GT PRO -> ENGL Poweramp 840/50--> Cabinet 2x12 Celestion V30 HP that I build myself (which is very nice!) Tolex with a super class and all that ...

The sound is really an appointment. In fact, before the Poweramp, I plugged my GT Pro on my enciente Yamaha HS 80m. The sound was already very good. Now I get a lot more depth and accuracy and really appreciate. Very nice. I guess not even what it can give with e570! First first slap: the Poweramp fill my bass donf therefore obliged to review all my configurations on my GT Pro. I now put the bass AU1 / 4!
Another thing: Poweramp is, I think for me, almost transparent what I think is a good point.

SOUNDS

I use an ESP Viper with 301. What is interesting and welcome presence buttons are very effective.
The amp suits me very well. ENGL I chose because during a trip to Germany I had tried for the first time this brand and I fell in love literally (y 'is one that will not be happy).
Saturations are my life and have a nice texture. Even the clean sounds convaincu.Donc me it's all really positive.

OVERALL OPINION

3 days of use. I like everything. The value for money is very good (939 euros Thomann, received in 3 days! They are effectively the German ... French sellers should take a leaf). In addition to the 840/50 is robust and very beautiful.
I think between that and me are Poweramp kekchose's stuck right now. I do not regret that I put pennies in it.

All adj t say .. Fewer connections than my old 920/50 but it's good enough!

UTILIZATION

The config could not be easier! One connects and rings now!
A condition to love the color it is hard to be ENGL deu by power amp ..
I have not the manual but hey I do not learn anything special in it .. It works little like a power amp prs

SOUNDS

I play death metal and black with a config prophesy maximizer 840 + / 50 and ca depot violated! All connected to a 2 * 12 in engl V30 is happiness!
The distos take on a new dimension with the power amp! The bass is present but not intrusive mass, the sound is super precise it is up to the technical and ryhtmiques jerks ..
The lead sounds are crying so is happiness!
As for clean sounds I have not found the grail, but with some rglages the prophesy I do not worry!
The silent 840/50 pice really missing in my rack to find the ultimate! (At least for me!)

I use it now with a 570 + Rocktron repliflex engl ..
I'm still satisfied! Poweramp This is really perfect for me! I plan on ending for Retube 6L6 j'spre and slapped me back!

OVERALL OPINION

I use it only for three weeks but I am madly in love with the dj power amp! I dismounted from the rack every night to sleep with!
Before that he had a 920/50 silent trs good too but too big, too heavy and full of connections that I have not the useful,
and a velocity 500 trs trs really works well but does not compete with the lights at the grain ..
I also test a mes 20/20 Dynawatt I find far too dirty and low blind.
The 840/50 is really the best choice I made!
Lightweight, super strong with a sound that everything in its path here must I do not see what harm I can say about this monster!

WARNING THIS IS AN OPINION that takes into account my personal tastes and Contents of the stuff in gnral which also takes into account the rest of my config! To choose a gear nothing beats a test!

Should we reconsider what has already been presented ?.... 2x50watts, 4 6l6/5881 lamps, two left and right inputs, two outputs 8ohms and 16ohms 2 in stereo. The four are active if connected on all cabins and 8 from the selection 16ohms A. And a standard stereo jack for the very kind footswicht Marshall two switches.
Very simple settings, volume and presence for each output, plus a switch Gain + + front.
Note: there is a small swicht at the back to the earth to avoid hum loops with other devices interconnected (ENGL thank you, that's a great idea)

From 6 months to 1 month and from 840/50 to 920/50 on his kid brother.
I love everything about this beast here. In fact I want him more ale output to connect my HP wall of Marshall house, but 4 is already the top, and then his kid brother the 920/50 is there to complement.
I tried many amps for over thirty years, it is not only beautiful, but also is a marvel of achievement.
The price may seem high, but quite frankly, it's worth it.
and I probably do it again this choice in the near future to acquire a second identical.
