I replaced the neck pickup for a Dimarzio AIRZONE 192 dpf.

UTILIZATION

Trs enjoyable round, round, good for acute Accessibility assistive ergonomics for my size (1.80m.)
trs good sound for the neck pickup reworked (the DiMarzio), however the sound of the pickup and too sour: I'll replace it for a Dimarzio Tone Zone
My rating is only for the neck pickup which seems perfect 10/10 so (this is the sound of the L 5 The Wes Montgomery!
the bridge pickup does not hold my rating: 5 / 10

SOUNDS

The sound of the neck pickup and redesigned is perfect: the hot trs, trs round, with a good trs DEFINITIONS treble. his "vintage" deep and powerful ... trs shade The L5 Wes, or the sound of Joe Pass if you prfrez!
I play a Fender Twin 100 watts, with a jack and that's it ... dj sound but not too bad!
My rglages are: treeble 5, medium 5, Bass 5, I drop a poverty of the Tone for a neck pickup rglage perfect, I finally got. I play jazz so I search the sound of the guitar pr-cits: Cort Yorktown and the team comes close.

OVERALL OPINION

I purchased this guitar recently (a month). I did change the microphone by a luthier by buying it, because the microphones origins are a bit feeble I got. is the weakest of all. Trs pity there is no tui also provided.
However not regard the report qualitprix of all, it is unbeatable. I have extensively tested the 1500 Yamaha AES and Larry Cort Corryel: made by micro, finishing overall outperforms both aisment MODELS. While these two guitars bnficient better microphones but are less well quips about the violin: not listed shell ... unbearable for guitars approaching 1000 euros (more if we talk about the AEX 1500). I possde a Gibson Nighthawk trs that sounds good. But it does not compare with the Corenne quality report for the package price. My next wish is to the team a "tone zone", with the diffrence in the price of spare Corryel.

The pickups are actually original mdiocres
I've put a Seymour VIRS and 59 in the neck position (and a black tape instead of the micro acute)
and sounds terrible (for jazz)
I save often online through a Carvin Quad-X

OVERALL OPINION

I have this guitar for 3 years
with (s) micro (s) change) the ratio is unbeatable qualitprix
I used it for a lot of recording and costs the people are amazed by the quality of the sound of this guitar (round, prcis, hot ...)
APRS a small passage in the luthier for small rglages was an excellent jazz guitar for the third of the price of a 175!

Jaz, blues, heavy .. even reggae ... it is very versatile ..

after acoir essssaye whole gang of hollow body: epiphone, ibanez ... I can say that 500 euros .. nothing comes close ...
the big difference I think mostly just microphones .. weaklings on the two brands mentioned prcdemment. . At least in this range ..
passion is a choice, I fell in love the moment when I played in acoustic .. or the many other hollow body's sound was like a big pot. , (And I must admit they are asked anything other than cooking pasta .. ptite this cort almost folk sound ... we feel it vibrate in his hands is a real treat .. and Once plugged into a Vibrolux ..... what a treat without hesitate ..... .. .. I sign!

UTILIZATION

The handle is very comfortable to play, regular, gentle. Access to acute is
correct and the standard for this type of guitar. The strings originally provided only
are really not up to the guitar, it was clear that they should be
change right away otherwise the print sound was pretty poor.
As I search for jazz sounds, I installed ropes nets dishes pulling hard enough (D'Addario Chromes 012-052) and is the Yorktown has become a serious instrument.
I tighten the proximity switch of the handle to fit the deepest draft.

SOUNDS

It's a jazz guitar I was looking for and Yorktown filled his role perfectly. I only use the neck pickup because I'm looking for the round, lime and vintage jazz instead of 50-60 years (Wes Montgomery, Joe Pass ...). The neck pickup delivers original sounds correct that view, but will soon require jazzeux tend to want to change it. With a Seymour Duncan Seth Lover (SH55) (about 130 euros more, in my opinion a microphone for the fabulous jazz), plugged into my tube amp Fender Hot Rod, the sound is almost equal to that of large Master the above. The lack Yorktown, however, slightly low, probably because of his body a little thinner (or an L5 ES175) and wood quality, no doubt. This appears quite clearly when the acoustic guitar is not plugged. The sound is not very large, rather tenuous. This faiblaisse acoustic guitar does not sound very fair and have a good fishing once connected. I put an "8" for the sound to reflect the change of micro, with Seth Lover I would put a "9" without hesitation or even a "10" for the excellent price / quality ratio (including the additional 130 euros) .

OVERALL OPINION

I've had three weeks. The search for a particular sound (the sound jazz classic for me) is an endless search but the Yorktown with its micro Seth Lover I am satisfied overall. It is fun to play, beautiful, compact, defect-free (outside the original string). If I had to replace it (if lost, broken, stolen), I would try maybe a half box a little thicker to make a little scale in the bass, but I'm not sure to beat for such a quality / price ratio. I also have an Ibanez AG75 BS (also semi-hollow), which is slightly better acoustically (not plugged), but the sound is a little less "jazz" in my opinion, even with the neck pickup on the same amp. The AG75 is against a little more versatile, more like a folk. In conclusion, the Yorktown is a great guitar for jazz, with its original neck pickup to start, with excellent potential with a microphone performance.
