I'm currently monitoring with an NS-10 setup. Only problem with the NS' to me is that they are so flat that they produce no lows. I end up sometimes overcompensating for the lack of lows and then when listening back through regular radio speakers, the bass and kick are boomy and too loud.

Is there a good studio sub someone could recommend for more accurate mixing?

If you mixing for ppl with subs that makes some sense - if not get bassier monitors... If you were feeling distructive i suppose you could make your own ports :-P
