Seymour Duncan Hot Rail Pickup (bridge)

Seymour Duncan STHR-1B Hot Rails Tele BridgePublished on 01/26/05 at 15:00
I bought this off of ebay for 70 bucks new.
looking for a good replacement for my Mexican Strat.

I love its tone, great for any style. Im in a cover band which plays all types of music, this pickup does it all. Also great for hammer-ons. Great clean or distorted.

Nothing to dislike.

I havent had any problems with this pickup, I play a gig about twice a week and this pickup is in my primary guitar, I give my poor fender too much of a beating, and she still works, so i would would say good quality.

Awesome pickup. Very versatile.

Big sound!

I recently installed this micro in the bridge position on my Fender Highway One Telecaster with a push / pull.
I have not really tried other models before I do ask, I relied on what I've read on the internet and listen to it on youtube, I admit it was risky ..! But I do not regret my choice!
I admit that the first time I tried it on my Telecaster I was a bit mixed but I realized that it was because I was too used to the original sound that was already very good . The problem was that the sound was too rich acute and not full enough for my taste, that has the Hot Rail correct. Less acute, a fatter and filled (micro double logic) and even heavier, which was not easy because the...…

The problem was that the sound was too rich acute and not full enough for my taste, that has the Hot Rail correct. Less acute, a fatter and filled (micro double logic) and even heavier, which was not easy because the original was a micro level output 14K for a simple as you say it hard!
What I like most is the power of the microwave, it takes a heavy sound without being too typical metal nag, and yet I find it quite versatile! I tested well on my Blackstar HT 50 all-tube, and frankly it sounds! The push / pull is a big plus, you can find a Telecaster sound, not as good as the original microphone but hey, you can have a really nice clean!
Another thing I appreciate is the fact that the guitar has not lost its soul! I read with this kind of micro should no longer be considered as a telecaster our guitar, but I disagree, I think it has kept its characteristics but with a big sound! Moreover split, the sound is typical telecaster!
What I like least, it's no big thing made, perhaps the fact that the sound that is neither a double nor a simple .. it is almost but not quite a double Absolutely! lol
In conclusion, a good microphone is a good upgrade for those who want a fuller sound and more aggressive. This mic gives the opportunity to play a lot of different style and not so expensive (more or less 80 €)!

In advance, I ask forgiveness from sincrement telecastors fans!

(When read even if you have humor, you will laugh ... well j'espre!)
One day in January 2003, in a moment of weakness, I took a telecaster Mexico.
I am a rocker bte mchant and sometimes with an ounce of purity sduire I have been a guitar made for the line clearly fawn Hergé.

Nice all right, but the av ridiculous distortion.

I am a fan of Ted Nugent, who said "if it's too loud your too old you."
H ben 38, prmice of Alheizmer, I end up with a scratch Redneck!

At the end of the year, returning the hair of the can (the height for a bat practicing), I stick in this friendly board a Duncan Hot rails.

And the ERRF my (and sisters !!!), the mtamorphose!
Time for Armageddon with Bruce Willis sonn had less, but the distortion and more!
It is a microphone that does not seem like a big prison military humanism which I forget the name.
Stuffed mdiums, harmonics go faster than before the beep coyote leaving the listener scratching the face MDUS cowboy exchange sonic instrument of torture.

So it's good if you want to transform your tv into a weapon of mass destruction.
I'm curious to test the Tone Zone for tele Di Marzio.

And if c'tait again, I do not take me telecastor!

Genial seymour this hot track. I replaced a strat us, very old, the bridge pickup seemed a little Magnete and I end up with a very nasty one. So the two other former single (neck and middle) are all weak and too crystalline. but the wiring also allows for a simple sound of the 4-position selector ... low and medium of hotrails have a strong presence, and treble harsh (rock)! and bring the pressure feedback from the amp .. it's actually a double humbucker format simple .. well done mr. seymour!
