MGR/Anonymous's review"Seymour Duncan Invader Pickups"

Seymour Duncan SH-8B Invader Bridge
guitar center, $75

I liked the high output

This pickup is one of the worst sounding pickups ever. It has OK mids but the lows are muddy and there are no highs.

Good cnstruction

Not a good investment if you like tone, but if you play death metal or crap like that you might like it.

Seymour Duncan SH-8B Invader Bridge
Micro cramique 4 blocks normissimes driver, almost M6 ...
No need, however, release F-Spaced/Trembucker given the size of the blocks, they rake off trs.

Much good to say right now, my opinion is far from being as positive as the other rave reviews for this microphone.
It is part of my CATEGORY me "enough is enough" as X2N DiMarzio, Bill Lawrence 500XL, etc.. Too much gain. Adios grain.
I keep one or two months to test it on a Jackson RR2, typing happily on a Engl Powerball. Prlev on the entrails of a XTRR Jackson, the owner of the beautiful not finding good, install the RR2 some time and then sold a buddy, who also sold in the crowd .... he has made homeowners before finding a lover!
B'en sailing. The Pball adj gain resell, with a microphone of this ilk is the overdose, even death by reducing the gain on Pball. Moreover, everything had to rgler centipoil and sparingly, the slurry can get trs sound quickly.

The precision suffers greatly from microphones dj avoinators well as SD SH6, the DP DP100, DP207 and DP155, and EMG 81.
I have not found it warm for a penny, there's too much gain to be prcis and intelligible in all circumstances. The low b'en a turn too fast porridge, even in dramatically changing the EQ on the amp, or lowering the microwave cavity in his death ...
The EQ V, no longer the essay RFLEX is something have to be pushing the amp to death out of the mix.
Otherwise, b'en yep, positive things, it is splittable to finally have clear sounds, and sustain a friendly enough (given the normal output level, and condition of hair down the microphone). Clearly, too, is part of this catgories microphones useful rveiller a dyspeptic amp (like a JCM900 for a death metal).
Test only a scratch, but given the standard color (p'ttre of potato micro), I doubt that it should sound like on almost all guitars and even sound of F is identical. I found the X2N dj and dj 500XL had a clear tendency to sound the same whatever the fawn wood, it will certainly be no exception ...
Enough is enough, too much gain kills the grain ...
