Audio Technica is to introduce three new in-ear monitor headphones at the Musikmesse.

Audio-Technica’s ATH-E40, ATH-E50 and ATH-E70 claim to bring the sonic heritage of the brand’s M-Series headphones to in-ear designs.

The flagship ATH-E70 is said to provide high accuracy and detail, allowing precise balancing of the mix for monitoring on stage or mixing in the studio. It features specially designed housings aimed at providing improved isolation. The isolation – and the comfort – are meant to be enhanced by the four sizes of silicone eartips (XS/S/M/L) and medium-size pair of Comply T500 foam eartips included with the headphones, allowing to create a custom fit. The ATH-E70 also includes a detachable 1.6 m (5.2') cable, with newly developed A2DC (Audio Designed Detachable Coaxial) connectors at the headphones and a 3.5 mm (1/8") stereo mini-plug output, a 6.3 mm (1/4") adapter, and a carrying case. US MSRP is $559.

The sound isolation and comfort offered by the ATH-E50 are said to be enhanced by the four sizes of included silicone eartips (XS/S/M/L), which allow the user to create a custom fit. The ATH-E50 also comes with a detachable 1.6 m (5. 2') cable, with newly developed A2DC (Audio Designed Detachable Coaxial) connectors at the headphones and a 3.5 mm (1/8") stereo mini-plug output, and a carrying case. This model is said to be aimed at the producer on the road seeking a consistent reference in every sonic environment. US MSRP is $279.

The proprietary dual phase push-pull driver design of the ATH-E40 is said to provide improved fidelity and efficiency, and to allow it to deliver powerful bass along with balanced mid and high frequencies. The isolation – and the comfort – are enhanced by the four sizes of included silicone eartips (XS/S/M/L), which allow to create a custom fit.
