Completely versatile; but it is primarily for voice and guitar.

OVERALL OPINION

I do not have that yesterday, with some already catches for testing.
In my collection, I have an old Rode NT1A,  a Electrovoice RE20 and an AT4041. I sometimes use a Neumann TLM103.

As time passes, I become less and less of a "geek" when it comes to buying equipment. Often we choose convenience to be sure to get value for my money. A Neumann microphone- it's always a class act. Lauten was a mic which I never heard of ...

So, not knowing much about Lauten, I was guided entirely by the seller. Without hesitation, he introduced me to the Calrion FC 357 and told me it was a great mic..

He said there was no risk; and told me that I could always return it.

The "package" is beautiful: a small cradle for the suspension, the microphone is itself is in a wooden box; a most beautiful effect.

And without further ado: ca sends heavy. I immediately made a test for voice and guitar (Gibson Hummingbird) and then I wanted to throw my Rode out the window ! 
It's just beautiful. Although this is a rule of thumb, but when a tool or equipment makes you want to play better, sing better, and brings new facets we did not know to the table, I think that the bet is won! (20 years of home studio talking here: D)

So, if you want to break the bank for a Neumann TLM103 go ahead.  Forget the glory of the brand, remember that you want a Neumann just for the fun of having a piece of a legend (frankly, who cares)  Lauten try this ...
