It is a relatively versatile microphone. Personally, I used it mostly on male voice, singing and rap.

OVERALL OPINION

I had the opportunity to use many microphones (among other brands: Neumann TLM103, several T-Bone, AKG C414, C214 ...). It seems sturdy and comes in its case with a clip and windscreen. The suspension is optional, I had been free in a pack, because it still costs € 25. Still, she is very strong, and almost essential given the weight of the microphone.
The voice, he did his work without excel. It is very colorful, with a boost to 200Hz and 2kHz, which is rather difficult to get a voice in the mix. Once taken over, and we know it, it gives quite satisfactory results.
But beware, even if it is true that Prodipe manufactures working tools of a good quality / price ratio, it is not a microphone that will suit any type of configuration. I plugged in directly on a C400, no external preamp, I always used my preamps sound cards, because never had the means to pay me good.
I think it is a microphone that will be excellent for those wishing to catch acoustic guitars.

Before him I bought a Behringer C1 (I know it's crap, but my wallet does not allow me better), given the poor quality of it I got caught it. I also have a Tater tbone SC600, more neutral, but frankly I prefer the ST1 is better suited for the kind of decision I made. I also have an AT2020 that does not serve me a lot, just for the atmosphere taken, but the quality is not comparable.

I use it for 1 year and a half. Alesis IO2 soundcard on express and adobe audition.


I tried a Behringer B2, and honestly nothing to do .. The above is prodipe.
Even though 20 euros more expensive to buy.


What I like most: quality / price excellent, the vocals really correct for the home studio enthusiast.

What I like least: The weight of the microphone that lowers the foot if it is wrong.

I remake this choice if I had to go with a budget of less than 100 euros.

Its price is because it is created on the basis on which the STC 3D directivity can be chosen (omnidirectional, cardioid, bidirectional ...)

So for € 100 less, you have the same quality, and this is also where I'm coming, it has nothing to envy of many competitors!

I use it for more than 6 months, and compared to my old micro (a scene JTS), the difference shall be final.
You may say well this is not comparable, but at my level, having heard various statements made with AKG C-300, or other ... this little mic does not have much to envy them, I was really amazed by the quality of miking the dice first recordings!

I really enjoyed the settings available on the microphone (high-pass filter and the attenuator at-10db if you yell into your microphone ...)

The finish is very nice, it is a jewel in the hand that would fall for anything!

It was delivered in a padded carrying case provided by prodipe, with the micro cap + base + Foam.

I would have liked to see it comes with the suspension that is screwed above which is standard but not yet sold separately (this is the case for a very short time, and I have not yet been able to control (29 / 02/2012).

qqn yes: sm58 and tt1 (st1 is obviously the more specific level but also at medium density acoustic)
